Personally I don't blame him. There have been some pretty s***ty things said about him, and a LOT of misconceptions about his role in the organization. If I were him I wouldn't want to be the punching bag either.

Which is this Sunday... bring your non-perishables or give a small donation if you can.

Just heard the replay from last night... and even though they may have edited it to sound worse I don't think he was intentionally insulting the fans. They are going to replay the conversation with Terry and Hawk at 5 for those that missed it.

White Sox announce first upgrade of Phase V
Steff replied to greasywheels121's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Both. There's a walkway, then a driveway where media currently parks, then a fence, then the lot. By the way.. a new media deck is also in the works according to the plans approved.. wonder where that's gonna go.. -

You're right. There's a sidewalk about 50 feet wide. A driveway for media trucks then a fence, then the player parking. But I agree. I think it's just going to go to the edge of the shops roof. The way it looks to me there will be an "awning" covering a bit of the concourse, but that most of it will be "on top" of the shops and towards the parking lot. -
White Sox announce first upgrade of Phase V

I think just the Chevy billboard will be removed. As to your #3 Athomeboy... I think some folks are thinking that it's going to be built ON the concourse where in actuality it's going to be "above" the hat shop out there. The picture isn't very clear, and their press release could have been a bit more detailed. IMO.. it's gonna be a nice addition. -
"fat ass" thank you very much.

Was at the game and didn't hear it... can someone elaborate?

Dad Charged For Not Using Enough Sunblock On 12-Year-Old Boy Severely Burned POSTED: 1:17 pm EDT May 26, 2004 UPDATED: 2:05 pm EDT May 26, 2004 CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, N.J. -- A man has been charged with child abuse for not applying enough sunblock to his 12-year-old son before a day at the beach. A man is charged with abuse for not using enough sunblock on his child. The boy was severely burned as a result, authorities said. Walter McKelvie Jr., 43, of Vineland, was indicted Tuesday and charged with one count of child abuse and neglect in the July 20 incident, in which he took his mentally disabled son to the beach in Wildwood. The son, identified only as R.M., suffered large, bleeding blisters on his back and face. Authorities were alerted by the boy's mother, who has custody of him but was not with him at the beach, according to Assistant Cape May County Prosecutor Meghan Hoerner. She took the boy to the hospital and then reported the incident to authorities. McKelvie told investigators he put sunblock on the boy, but the indictment said he failed "to apply enough sunscreen causing severe sunburn to R.M." while he had custody of him. If convicted, McKelvie could face up to 18 months in prison.

Student Whose Hair Set Afire Told To Stay Home Alleged Attacker Remains In School POSTED: 4:42 p.m. EDT May 26, 2004 UPDATED: 5:19 p.m. EDT May 26, 2004 DENVER -- A 13-year-old Denver girl said she was threatened with a knife at her middle school and her hair was set on fire, yet she was the one who was told to stay home for the remainder of the school year while her alleged attacker wasn't suspended or even investigated. Courtney Glowczewski has a small right arm and leg because of cerebral palsy, a disability that her teachers say has not kept her from working hard in school and being a good student. "I do really good in my classes. My teachers tell me, 'Good job,' and, 'You're doing very good,' and 'Excellent girl,'" said Glowczewski. But her physical appearance has made her a target of taunting and of physical attack, which she said has never been addressed by the administration at Martin Luther King Middle School. Last week, she said the bullying got worse when she said she was threatened and assaulted by a seventh-grade boy. "He pulled out a knife, a silver knife, a pocket knife, and then he said 'What!?' So I was scared and didn't know what to do," said Glowczewski. As she walked to her seat she smelled smoke and one of her classmates was patting her hard on the back. "I looked and there was a black spot on the back of my shirt. And then I saw some black hair falling from my hair," said Glowczewski. Her hair was on fire and the other student said that she was trying to help put it out. Her mother, Sherrie, was called to school when her daughter reported the incident to the assistant principal. Sherrie Glowczewski was outraged when she was told by the administration at Martin Luther King that her daughter didn't need to come back and not to worry about the tests. "I just wanted to go to a school that doesn't make fun of me. I wanted to be treated with respect," Glowczewski said, crying. Meanwhile, her mother has made repeated phone calls to the assistant principal. "I have no idea what they've done. That's why I want to speak to her. I want to know what happened to (the bullying suspect) and what's going on in that school," said Sherrie Glowczewski. KMGH-TV discovered that while Glowczewski was sent home, her alleged attacker is still in school, even though administrators confirmed he had a knife. The principal has now admitted her staff did not call police, did not interview potential witnesses and did not conduct a proper investigation. "He shouldn't come back in school. I should be in school taking my education and it's not fair," said Glowczewski. The interim principal at Martin Luther King Middle School declined an on-camera interview, but said her staff made serious mistakes in this case and that she will offer Glowczewski and her family a summer school program and transportation. Meanwhile, both Mark Stevens, the spokesman for Denver Public Schools, and the superintendent declined to discuss the case or DPS policy for dealing with such issues. http://www.newsnet5.com/news/3349955/detail.html

He appears to be a loner. Rarely talks to the media. MY&H commented that he didn't even crack a smile when they joked about him getting a new glove..
-
No prob. I just didn't want to indicate something I have no idea of. I'm sure all pitchers want a CG.
-
I'm sorry.. did I say he complained..? Sure didn't mean to.
-
Oh no... 110 pitches!! When did pitchers become such sissies..?? Back in the day (my great, great, grampa's day, not mine) pitchers tossed 150 pitches on three days rest. Little girls out there now...
-
I agree.. but it's May.. one night tossing 125 pitches, especially when he wanted to, IMO is not going to effect his arm 5 months from now.
-
He had just struck out 2 in the 8th as well. He was on auto-pilot... would have been nice to see a CG.

Loaiza wanted to finish (per ESPN) why Ozzie ignored that request was not addressed. :banghead

Apartment tenant known as 'Grandpa' accused of molesting kids Keith Davis Associated Press May. 26, 2004 01:00 PM A man known to children in his west Phoenix apartment complex as "grandpa" is now in jail, accused of recruiting children for a sex club.
