Everyone clam down
Yes.. anyone with the hint of negativity needs to just sit down and STHU. This is no place for those posts questioning the desire to win from this management nor is there any need to question the unproven player(s) that have been assembled... :headshake Bla... Whatever. I'm all for being optimistic, but I'm also going to voice my frustration when I feel like it. It's a message board... don't like the negativity, those threads are easy enough to spot, and just pass them over.

How does ARod not replace Boone's bat..? And you are 100% correct on Hicks.

Well gee Tony... why don't you just ruin all our fun.. Seriously though.. I do agree to a point. But 1 thing that keeps bothering me is the constant bla, bla, bla about his minor league stats. I don't care how good he was.. that was then. And if he showed such promise he would have been called up with Baltimore. Why I'm tough on him is because he hasn't done anything, yet Sox brass are calling him the greatest thing since sliced bread. Stop hyping the guy... let him be. The more they talk him the more nervous he's going to be.- Bush and abortion
Yet you add fuel.. Life starts at different times for different folks.- What I wouldn't give for Ray Durham
Damn you bigred...!! Don't talk about players that aren't here anymore...- Bush and abortion
If it's not hypocritical.. it's at the very least a crime. Murder. As it was not legal back then. For the record.. I'm not for this discussion here. Too many differing opinions and I think this is a very personal matter which when opinions are questioned, has the potnetial to turn very nasty. JMO.. carry on.- Bush and abortion
If true.. him and a campaign friend set it up. Doesn't sound like he was against it...- What I wouldn't give for Ray Durham

I know a lot of folks like that Cheat. My brother in law is a good example. Yankee fan, or so he says.. yet he has no idea why it's necessary to have a lefty in the rotation, and he had to ask what GIDP stood for.. :headshake- Yankees Are Ruining Baseball
And it's just coincidence when 11 players IMPLODE ALL at the SAME TIME...- Yankees Are Ruining Baseball
There would have to be simply based on yesterday's signing.. Otherwise the cap doesn't go into effect until after all existing contracts are complete. Which will do no good.. baseball will be ruined by then.- Yankees Are Ruining Baseball
Fan.. I have no idea.- Yankees Are Ruining Baseball
Fan.. in theory it's a great idea. But it's too late. If you set the max at $150 million.. do the Yankees take pay cuts..? If you set the min at $80 million does that mean that the Marlins would have had to give their team raises last year? The standard has been set. This sport is ruined as far as installing/enforcing a cap.- Yankees Are Ruining Baseball
Not sure 420... let me see if I can find that out.- Yankees Are Ruining Baseball

Yep. It's not logical at this point. Too many contracts worth too much $$ out there already. A cap wont work.- Yankees Are Ruining Baseball
I don't think that will help either. All the "good" players will play for the ones who spend at the top. Teams at the low end will still be talent starved cause they won't be able to pay competetively.- Yankees Are Ruining Baseball
Yep. I believe I read that the Yankees paid just under $60 million in that and luxury tax. - What I wouldn't give for Ray Durham
