  1. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2007 -> 01:39 PM) I would rather someone page Joe Crede, and get rid of the stand in that has been out there for the last month. That is not a stand, that is Joe Crede, our rookie 3rd basemen with the loopy tennis swing.
  2. QUOTE(knightni @ May 2, 2007 -> 01:29 PM) "Jimbo Magic" Does that involve whiskey and a beer chaser? Exactly, no need for chasers though. Chasers for you kids is the drink after a shot to help it go down. There is your lesson from me, the alchy.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ May 2, 2007 -> 12:50 PM) Outside of a few games this year, PK and Dye have been rally killers. At least with Thome, we had someone who could get on base twice a game no matter what. no is clutch but Erstad.
  4. QUOTE(Shadows @ May 2, 2007 -> 11:00 AM) Im just wondering what your basis is for this.. IIRC, he didnt return a kick off or punt ever while at Northern Illinois oops
  5. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:55 AM) The sad thing is he's probably right. he will probably lead off.
  6. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:54 AM) Give me a break. You would trade our best hitter for Aaron Rowand? It sucks having grinderstad and pods in the outifield, but you have to be on crack to trade Thome for Rowand. THome is just fine.
  7. QUOTE(Dan @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:52 AM) Dan in response to funky lookin car: "What the gay?" you cant nominate yourself.
  8. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:51 AM) Walker will be gone before Cora. Heck, Baines will be gone before Cora. I dont mean firing someone, i mean sacrificing, like the bible.
  9. QUOTE(Dan @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:49 AM) Joe Thorton for President in 08! they still playing, yawn.
  10. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:46 AM) Remember, Terrero did homer yesterday. That could earn him a few starts in a row. oh god
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:45 AM) Why would Roger want to come back and help this team go from last place to 3rd place? IF he wants to win, he's not coming back until the Yankees show him something first. the booya network will put a gun to his head, they need better ratings.
  12. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:45 AM) Atleast someone is starting to understand that it is a bit of a problem. Ozzie needs to chew this team out, break things, hell sacrifice Cora to the baseball gods.
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:43 AM) If Bonderman and Maroth can get past the 03 Tigers... im not worried about danks, im just stating my prediction.
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:44 AM) I think it's time we demote Brian Anderson to AA so that he can get some at bats. hiiiiilairous
  15. I really want to see Danksy succeed, love that kid.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:33 AM) 2005 it worked well.....2006, his pitching decisions were a disaster....20007 = too early to tell 2007, my focus is on the offense, never thought i would ever say that.
  17. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:29 AM) I just cant envision someone who is 5'7" and 180 pounds being ok after being hit by an NFL lineman or linebacker. hell hid in our offensive linemen's pants and hide.
  18. QUOTE(forrestg @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:31 AM) Maybe he was told not to report or held out awaiting an announcement of a trade. that would be fine by me.
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:26 AM) But we have a power bullpen! (I like the arms we have, but they are giving up too many big runs this year) I don't know what direction this organization is going with the offense, but since the start of the 2nd half last year, they all seemed to have aged about 5 years. Just not a lot of bat speed. You figure that next year, we'll have Thome, PK, and AJP in the lineup for sure. After that, there's going to be a lot of other changes. On the bright side, at least it's fun to see Danks develop in front of our very eyes. Until Danks has a complete meltdown when he is 0-18, because his team has given him 10 combine runs in 25 starts.
  20. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:23 AM) What exactly are the positives surrounding this team? We have a decent pitching staff....that's about it. No speed, no fundamentals, aging veterans, mediocre defense. Agreed, we are the MLB version of the Heat, old and crappy. dont forget s***ty scouts.
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:18 AM) Big picture? You mean not having to have a starter throw an extra 20 pitches. Vazquez has thrown a ton of pitches over his career, and you're alrady seeing signs of his stuff declining. His fastball was in the 89-91 mph range last night. I really never thought I'd see the day where Mark Buehrle was throwing 2 mph slower than Vazquez and Contreras. good point, yikes
