  1. OK State is good, now if Ttech beats MU, wow
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 12, 2009 -> 06:58 PM) I'm hoping for another Jackson Vroman. oh Count Dracula, how I miss you.
  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 12, 2009 -> 06:44 PM) Even ISU is recruiting decently well. The two players coming in next year are a 4* PG Chris Colvin from Chicago and the #2 JUCO recruit in the nation per ESPN, Marquis Gilstrap. I never put much credence in JUCO recruits. KU has the 1 and 2 best this year, and they suck for the most part.
  4. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 12, 2009 -> 02:54 PM) What's up with Kansas? That's 3 surprisingly mediocre/poor performances in a row. They are young, inexperienced and clueless away from AFH.
  5. QUOTE (The Bones @ Mar 12, 2009 -> 01:33 PM) Well I guess we can stop this talk about Kansas getting a 1 seed. Will they even get a 2 seed now? No way, lowest 3 seed most likely.
  6. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 11, 2009 -> 10:35 AM) Perhaps its me being an Illinois homer, but it's ridiculous to me that Chester Frazier didn't win Defensive player of the year and that Weber didn't win Coach of the Year. I'm fine with the media choosing Dechellis, but Izzo? Come on... Maybe its because the Media does not like Weber, food for thought.
  7. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 11, 2009 -> 04:09 AM) I think he meant scandal wise. Baylor, Oklahoma and Mizzou have had their issues. K State had some questionable dealings with the Beasley/Walker stuff. If that is the case, I agree.
  8. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Mar 10, 2009 -> 03:06 PM) Maybe that's because Baylor need every little edge it can get considering their recent history. He's done an excellent job bringing that program back from the dead. Almost literally. And lets not talk about recruiting and the Big 12. Not a good recent history. big 12 is recruiting very well. This list does not even include KU, because this is before we pulled in Jeff Withey. http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/con....asp?CID=857523 Another list of the imaginary Big 12 recruits. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/c...p;classmonth=11 http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/c...mp;viewmore=yes ...and those horrible recent players that came out of the Big 12. Durant,Rush, Chalmers, Beasley, Hinrich, Augustin, Aldridge, Daniel Gibson, ....and those unkown recruits who are heading to the NBA soon Griffin, Alrich, Brackins, Warren, James, Anderson,
  9. Dammit, sorry. I usually have my friends emails when I run their league. League 4 ID: 195452
  10. I really hate this whole "bubble" talk. If you won the games, this would no be an issue.
  11. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 10, 2009 -> 01:00 PM) St. Mary's added a game against EWU for Friday in a desperate measure to get in. That would be funny if they lost. How would a win over EWU get them in?
  12. Good luck trying to have these individuals plays as a team.
  13. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 9, 2009 -> 04:53 PM) LOL, so what was that 2-year period where Kansas couldn't get by Bradley and Bucknell in the first round? Trying to fit a circle into a square peg. Roy's recruits did not want to play in Self's slow down system.
  14. QUOTE (watchtower41 @ Mar 9, 2009 -> 03:38 PM) I don't see where I said KU deserves to be a NO. 1 seed, so I'm not sure how to answer that part of your question. The so-called experts on the other hand, I'm sure would be happy to answer your question. I've heard Bob Knight mention it, as well as Andy Katz..... the nationwide college hoops media very much loves Kansas right now. As for your other questions, yes Michigan State beat Kansas, I watched that dreadful game. Michigan State also lost to Northwestern on the same floor as they beat Kansas on. Whoops.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 9, 2009 -> 03:01 PM) I'd love to see Valpo product Scott Drew and Baylor manage a second round upset and beat Kansas. Drew is a turd, I have heard tons of stories of him ripping schools that he is competing agains in recruiting.
  16. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 9, 2009 -> 03:05 PM) WOuld you be entirely surprised if they exited early either? Its possible KU is very good, but also that the Big 12 is just very down. I would not be shocked if they did not get out of the first weekend, this team is young and inexperienced. If Sherron has an off day, they are in big trouble. Though, Tyshawn Taylor has improved more than any KU freshman I can remember.
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 9, 2009 -> 02:35 PM) How can you say KU deserves a #1? Didnt MSU beat KU by 13 points? So unless MSU some how gets a 1 seed, I cant imagine KU getting one. http://www.collegerpi.com/cy/rpi.html MSU- 25-5, beat KU has a stronger SOS and RPI. KU- 25-6, lost to MSU. Damn, who would have thought the win over Washington would have been KU's best of the season. I do not consider Mizzou a national power at all, and OU is not considered due to Griffin's injury....and what the hell happened to Old Rocky Top.
  18. QUOTE (watchtower41 @ Mar 9, 2009 -> 02:29 PM) This '08-'09 team did better in conference (2 losses) than the Jayhawks' national championship team last year, they very much deserve a No. 2 seed at this point. There are plenty of ramblings going around on if they continue to go on and win the Big XII tourney, they still have an outside shot at a No.1 seed. Many people thinking 1 conference will not get two No.1's this year. I just spit my drink up when you said number 1 seed. They also did not have to go on the road to Texas, Ok State and did not have to face a Michael Beasley on the road. Yes, we had a better record, but against way easier competition, and a major break(Griffin Injury) I realize this teams has gotten progressively better over the year, but number 1 seed talk is just ridic. As a KU fan, this year is like playing with the house's money. I did not expect them to compete for a Big 12 title, nor make that much damage in the NCAA tourney. The run to the Big 12 Championship shows the amazing coaching by Self. If this team reaches the Sweet 16,I will chalk it up to a sweet rebuilding year.
  19. QUOTE (JuiceCruz16 @ Mar 9, 2009 -> 02:08 PM) Lunardi has his latest out. Duke is a 3 along with Wake Forest, Villanova, and Washington. 4's Mizzou UCLA, Clemson, and Xavier. I don't know but do you really think Duke's season was more like the 4's then the 3's. Hell, they split with Wake losing at the buzzer on the road, and they finished ahead of Clemson from the same conference. I don't think they are getting any favors. They are super vulnerable to almost any first round matchup though. I am the most loyal KU fan in the world, they have no reason to be a 2 seed.
