  1. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 02:35 PM) I watched Jordan. That was the most incredible basketball game i've ever seen. Edit: Said in the heat of the moment. Not for real, but top ten Maybe Jordan with the Wizards, this did not even compare to M. Jeff clutch finals games.
  2. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Apr 16, 2009 -> 06:18 PM) I hate all the artificial noisemakers they need to use to create fan support. It is pathetic. Sounds like a carnival, not a baseball game.
  3. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 16, 2009 -> 06:15 PM) pathetic, isn't it Quite
  4. i have better connections, and chicago is by far the top dog at this point.
  5. Thanks to our wonderful economy I know of many restaurants who have daily specials during the week. Where do you find these deals online? I am not asking for drink and hamburger specials, more prefixed 3 course meals and such. thanks
  6. QUOTE (JuiceCruz16 @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 11:38 AM) The Wear twins are not expected to be impact freshman. Never were, Roy is fine with their performance, far from freaking out. They fit the mold of Deon Thompson & Alex Stephenson (different games/build) as semi projects. Solid big guys with upside, that the Carolina staff will work with and hope by their jr. & sr. years they are big time contributors. Henson, Strickland, and to a lesser degree McDonald are expected to be the "step in" guys like Ellington and Lawson were. With Thompson, Zeller, Davis, & Henson up front how in the world would the Wear twins all star game "freak out" the coach who has taken the ultimate crown in 2 of the last 5 years. The Wall contact has started. With Wall being the ultra explosive point guard that has flourished under Roy at UNC with Felton & Lawson leading the Heels to rings. Wall is interesting, but I kinda hope he gose elsewhere for his one and done year. Not Duke though. Chad Ford: He was awesome and he'll compete with Ed Davis and a few other freshmen for that. However, there is some buzz that Wall believes he might be eligible for THIS year's draft. I've been doing some digging and will be filing a story later today. The short rub is this: Wall is a 5th year senior and depending on how you read the collective bargaining agreement, 5th year seniors are eligible for the draft as long as the turn 19 in the calander year (Wall does). The league is taking a wait and see approach. If he declares, they'll research and make a ruling. If he does declare and is ruled eligible (two big ifs) he's a Top 5 pick in this draft. Maybe Top 3.
  7. I think fans were booing more indirectly at KW for leaving us with BA and Wise in CF.
  8. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Apr 12, 2009 -> 02:58 PM) Just go to Iowa State. Be where your family is and your comfortable. No way, be like the previous stars of Iowa(Hinrich and Collison) and come to Kansas. Their families were at every game as well!
  9. I am really impressed with Fields this year. How nice would Beckham look in the leadoff spot and playing 2nd.
  10. QUOTE (CWSOX45 @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 09:23 PM) Amazing what short quick to the point swings do for a baseball team. I wish our players, and Greg Walker would take note. Homerun or die trying
  11. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 06:21 PM) Ha. He was so safe and it wasn't even close. That's a tough decision for Theriot. you mean dumb, not tough. His lollipop throws wont make that play.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 01:28 PM) Them and the Cubs...
