QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 07:01 PM) If the Bulls traded for Dwight, no one here but Felix would be complaining. Why would I give a s*** if the Bulls traded for Dwight? I don't hate the Bulls. For the most part, I do hate their fans (especially in this thread), but the 'woe is me... my team doesn't make the trades they need to' rhetoric is actually very comical to watch. All in all, I'm really enjoying this for now. I'll probably be sick of the whining come mid-January/early-February, but for now I'll just sit back and chuckle to myself.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 12:06 AM) The new Childish Gambino is amazing. What do you think of it, Sqwert? I believe you recommended his older stuff before. I'm not that big into hip hop/rap, but it's a fantastic album. His older stuff is also excellent.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 3, 2011 -> 03:39 PM) You're not terribly likely to get Afflalo for the MLE since Denver can match any offer and has a ton of cap space. Plus they have a couple of guys overseas that are stuck in contracts (unless this has been cleared up and I haven't seen). I don't see the motivation for them to move him. There are a ton of teams that would love Afflalo, but I don't know why Denver would move him. Or maybe the guys I'm thinking of were all free agents and I'm full of s***. This is why you don't make posts after 2 AM.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Dec 2, 2011 -> 04:50 PM) Did you watch Party Down on my recommendation or before that? Great show, outstanding cast, if you can tolerate Adam Scott's weird face on Parks and Rec then you can do the same for 20 episodes of Party Down, Martin Starr's full blown nerd consternation is not to be missed. One of my old roommates had heard about it from a friend a few years ago so we started watching it. It's a superb show... one of the few that could sustain a pretty significant cast change from season one to two and still maintain its quality/improve. It's perfectly casted... just an outstanding series. It's up there with Arrested Development as my favorite comedy. I was sold from the very first scene of the show, which is the first twenty or so minutes of this trailer: While I'm linking to awesome Party Down scenes, why not:

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 2, 2011 -> 12:17 PM) Well, it's not like Carell was bad for the first few seasons. The character just got worse and worse, and more and more unbelievably stupid. Party Down (I've never seen it) has only been on the air for like two seasons. The same could easily happen there. I only know that I'd often find myself just being angry at Michael rather than laughing or even finding him uncomfortably embarrassing/awkward. I never really found Carell all that funny. I was generally pretty lukewarm about the Office from the start, and it just went downhill as it lasted longer and longer. Don't get me wrong, it has some funny moments, but when I look back at my favorite parts of the show, very few of them ever involved Steve Carell. Also, Party Down was cancelled awhile ago after two seasons. Strongly recommend watching it if you like shows that are genuinely funny, both seasons are on Netflix Instant. RIP

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 2, 2011 -> 12:11 PM) The show stopped being funny to me when Michael went from annoying to unbearably retarded. For most people, Steve Carell was the reason that most people loved that show. For me, he was the reason I was driven away. 100% agree. He is completely unbearable in that show. While I'm on my soap box, Ken Marino in Party Down is a MUCH better character than Steve Carell in the Office. Both serve a similar purpose for the show, and it's not even close which one is funnier or a better character.

The moment I saw , I stopped watching that show. And this was a looooooooong time ago.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 29, 2011 -> 10:50 PM) 100% agreed. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 30, 2011 -> 12:17 PM) I'm growing tired of the show and anticipate the book being more of what I wanted the show to be. What "book" did you get? The Comendium One (the first eight volumes)? There's a paperback edition of that for $32 on Amazon. Looks like the remaining volumes have to be bought separately. That's what I own. Haven't read past it, as I've been waiting for the second one to be released.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Nov 30, 2011 -> 11:33 AM) I think you are misinterpreting "every" for "any". After looking into it further, I think I was mistaken. You appear to be correct, which makes more sense to me. http://nba-point-forward.si.com/2011/11/28...ises-questions/

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Nov 30, 2011 -> 10:56 AM) Each team can use it one time during the CBA. It can be used before every season during the span of the CBA, according to the information the SI has.

I've been re-reading the graphic novel recently, and I'd just like to express how sick I am of the Walking Dead TV show. Where the f*** is Tyrese, goddamnit? The finale was the same old s*** they've been doing from the start. If I wasn't a fan of the graphic novel or a "ZOMG ZOMBIES" type of person, I'd have dropped it awhile ago.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 12:47 AM) I honestly hate playing adventure games with a keyboard...I love having all my buttons at thumbs reach and analog sticks. How small are your hands? Everything you need on a keyboard is within the WASD range.
-
QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 11:30 PM) Ok skyrim nerds, why do you need a keyboard? More controls? I know little about the game, but I don't see why it would be such a difference. I personally like the freedom of a controller. Personally I'm much more comfortable using a keyboard/mouse setup. Much more control in combat, etc. However, the real reason you play Skyrim on PC and nothing else is because of the mods that have been released and will be released. As with all Elder Scroll games, the modding community can really go nuts and create some great mods.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 03:45 PM) Mouse + keyboard for gaming = lame. ahahahahahahahahahahaha Sorry, that was mean. ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 03:09 PM) I bought Oblivion twice...once for PS3 then later for PC. It's bought later because then 1) I can run it 2) Great Mods at that point Plus, I just like a controller more. I know some people that bought it for PC and are using a controller. f*** that though, mouse + keyboard >>>>> controller.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 02:55 PM) A bit of advice on Skyrim: Do NOT go into the Temple of Xrib. You find it as a "sightless pit" ...and it is a pit. You can't exit the damned thing without fighting your way through to the other side. As a lower level guy (level 8-9) I went into it and spent HOURS fighting my way out. That sucked, a lot. I almost threw my controller through the TV since my previous save was over 6 hours of game time in the past. Not sure why they can't fix the damned save system. Why do I have to waste 10 seconds every 10 minutes to save? Why not just do it automatically? If you play on PC like you're supposed to do with Skyrim (or any other Elder Scrolls game), you don't have any issue with the save.

@BMcCarthy32 Just so we're clear, I will never think someone should win or lose an MVP or other award, based on team success/failure. NEVER.

QUOTE (onedude @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 02:21 PM) anyone wasting their life with Skyrim? Game of the Year IMO Yeppp Picked a good time to be unemployed

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 02:29 PM) We just need a Babe Ruth Award already for the leagues best hitter, then MVP won't be an issue and can go to THE best player in each league without ignoring hitters for the entire year if a pitcher wins (like this). But Babe Ruth was a pitcher too

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 11:56 AM) I'm caught up with The Walking Dead, with the exception of last night's episode. I'm surprised at how many people aren't liking the show anymore. In my opinion, it's still very good. I know there will be plenty who will argue, but I think the character development is pretty good. Daryl is probably the best character and is pretty complex. I don't think you can have all of the characters as complex, and some people are just who they are. Rick is the overall decent guy who tries to make the right decisions but doesn't always succeed. Shane is like the antithesis of Rick, and maybe that's a bit overdone, especially considering the history with Lori that Rick doesn't know about. Andrea is pretty unlikable, but she seems to be getting over her depression/hate of the world. On a side note, I loved the Walker in the well scene. Especially at the end when T-Dog said it was a good thing they didn't do something stupid like shoot it. It's soooooooooooooooooo boringgggggggggggggggggggggggg Read the graphic novel. It's way better and less of a time drain. Then again, I'm still watching Walking Dead every week and probably will regardless of the quality. So maybe I'm not the best guy to take advice from on that front.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 08:02 PM) Ive been reading the Walking Dead graphic novel and I must say, it is a s*** load better than the tv show. A much better plot, character development, etc, the only thing it cant do is "scare" you as much. It's really not even close which one is better. Plus, the graphic novel does some things that they could NEVER do on TV.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 15, 2011 -> 09:50 AM) Crazy theory coming. Hershel and his family are actively turning people into zombies. The daughter pointed the survivors to the well with the zombie in it. There are 7 wells on that property, and the zombie in the well had clearly been there a long time. Once infected, the new zombies are corralled into the barn. Not sure why they would be doing this, but my guess is that it's some crazy religious thing. We're already seeing that Hershel isn't the sweet old man that he originally seemed to be. Read the graphic novel. That is all.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Nov 14, 2011 -> 11:36 PM) And "Whitney" remains. They're making room for more Tina Fey crap. whoa whoa whoa, let's not get ridiculous now. I'm as pissed as anyone that Community is on hiatus, but "Tina Fey crap" is a phrase that should never be used, especially considering Donald Glover (from Community) is also a writer for 30 Rock. EDIT: Alright, well, he WAS a writer on 30 Rock. That doesn't really take away from the point that 30 Rock owns.
