  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 24, 2011 -> 10:01 PM) The NBA is all about the stars. This series isn't highly rated because of the cities. And the MVP of the league wouldn't draw? I mean, I'm sure Miami would probably outdraw Chicago, but it's not as though the NBA would prefer a short series as opposed to a drawn out 7-game nailbiter.
  2. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 24, 2011 -> 09:58 PM) Making me proud guys. How does this make any sense? Chicago is a large market that would draw well in the finals, and the idea that the refs are rigging it for Miami so the series would end earlier is just moronic. If anything, the refs would want Chicago to win tonight, so the series goes longer.
  3. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ May 24, 2011 -> 09:51 PM) FLAGRANT WOW COME ON ARE YOU SRS Same type of play was called a flagrant in yesterday's Dallas/OKC game. It's the followthrough by Boozer (and good acting job by Bosh) that sells it.
  4. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 24, 2011 -> 09:44 PM) Then why the f*** didn't Crawford call it? He was watching the whole play from 2 feet away Because he's an old hack? I don't know. I get complaining about questionable calls. I don't agree with it, but I can at least understand it. Complaining about a call where someone literally intentionally ran into and knocked over another player that was chasing down a loose ball? You're stretching.
  5. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 24, 2011 -> 09:43 PM) no doubt it was a foul. that said you cant objectively say that this has felt like an evenly called game I just recently turned it on, so I couldn't say one way or another. The free throw differential is certainly ridiculous, however.
  6. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 24, 2011 -> 09:41 PM) Lol, the call on korver (late and called by the official on the other end of the court, not the guy 2 ft from the action) and then lebron throws his body into a guy and gets the call. How can you actually dispute that? it was as blatant a foul as possible.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 24, 2011 -> 06:16 PM) Except that Melido Perez game was only six innings pitched, right? I know it wasn't a CG. You know nothing: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/OA...199009170.shtml
  8. Preseason opener is tomorrow at noon. Can't wait!
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 22, 2011 -> 09:46 PM) The officials aren't deciding this one. The bulls look like the heat down the stretch in the regular season. Totally frozen. The officials haven't decided any of them. The play on the court has, and the Heat simply outplayed the Bulls tonight.
  10. At least I can turn this game off and continue LA Noire.
  11. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 22, 2011 -> 08:33 PM) The bulls aren't going to get a single call this entire series on the road Hyperboles... YAY!
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ May 22, 2011 -> 08:29 PM) The only thing I don't like about the refs is when a Bulls guy gets a step on offense, the Heat create a little contact like a body or hand check and not called and that is fine. But when we do it to the Heat, whistle. Be consistent. I think the Heat have done a better job about not hacking around the rim. They've made contact with the body to be sure, but they've been fairly good about not hacking at the ball. On the other hand, the Bulls bigs love to slap at the ball, which gets them in more trouble.
  13. Ref almost got nailed by that kick ball
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 21, 2011 -> 11:32 AM) Ah yes, bring in the Paul vs Rose topic into an unrelated discussion, nice. My point had nothing to do with Rose/Paul. My point was backing the use of advanced stats when they're convenient for you, while claiming they mean nothing in every other situation.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 21, 2011 -> 07:27 AM) Gerry just owned. Fantastic post. I know this is a really stupid post to make, but I can't help myself: how on earth can you support an argument that is based significantly around Win Shares, but then still refuse to even consider the possibility that Paul is better than Rose right now? I'm definitely going to check out of this thread for awhile after this, but I just wanted to point out the hilarity in that.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 18, 2011 -> 10:45 PM) Wow. Genius. He said Rose isn't a superstar which was some dumbass s***. Clearly everyone knows he isn't perfect. His faults are pointed out ad nauseum. He was terrible tonight. That doesn't make him not a superstar however. I like how you get upset with ME bc I'm arguing w a lawyer over semantics. That's rich. No, I'm "upset" (not at all, really) with you because you clearly missed the point of his initial post, and then decided to make a big deal of it. I mean s***, maybe if the initial post was made by someone with a well documented history in this thread of bashing the Bulls and discrediting any success Rose has had, then I could understand it. But as is, it sounds as if you're just really pissed off that Rose (and the Bulls) played poorly tonight and want to b**** someone out to prove you're smarter. Congrats. You're right. Rose is a superstar. You're the best!
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 18, 2011 -> 10:37 PM) He just won f***ing MVP. He doesn't need to be a finished product to be a superstar. You cannot win MVP in the NBA without being a superstar. You are wrong. The entire world knows you won't admit that a statement you made was incorrect, but when you brought into doubt Derrick Road being a superstar bc of this game, you were dead wrong. Now you're just arguing semantics. The gist of SB's post was that Rose isn't perfect. Everyone knows this. Why are you still poking away?
  18. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 18, 2011 -> 10:30 PM) Rose just isnt a finished product and if he doesnt come up with a win this year, its okay. The Bulls are putting a lot of weight on his shoulders and other players need to step up and hit shots. The Bulls didnt lose because of Rose, the Bulls lost because Korver is supposed to be a good shooter and he was 1-7, Deng was 1-7 from 3. Rose just needs guys to make the shots they are paid to make, because Rose is putting them in the position to do it. I think a lot of this is just the fact that the Bulls really don't have a second offensive option. The load is always on Rose's shoulders, which is going to wear you down through the course of a postseason. I remember seeing something during the Indiana/Atlanta that his usage rate was in pretty rare company during the postseason. That has to wear you down after awhile.
  19. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 18, 2011 -> 10:21 PM) Felix, Exactly. It just seems like if you even suggest Rose is anything less than perfect that your a bandwagon fan. And this is why I'm apparently one of the biggest Bulls haters around (outside of Real)
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 18, 2011 -> 10:18 PM) Dude, I think you're a good poster. And I'm probably the second most pessimistic poster here. But it's pretty clear you want the Bulls to lose. I think his agenda was pretty obvious when he posted for the first quarter of the first game but didn't post the rest of the game.
  21. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 18, 2011 -> 10:00 PM) If Rose is a superstar he needs to hit jump shots down the stretch. Thats the truth. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 18, 2011 -> 10:04 PM) lol The bandwagon? Im saying if we want to say Rose is the best player in the world and not get ridiculed, Rose needs to play like it. Not saying he wont, just thats what he needs to do. Plays like that are what he needs to do. Im not sure what the problem is with saying that Rose needs to take over when the offense struggles I read this as you saying that if Rose wants to be the best, he needs to develop a more consistent outside shot. This isn't anything new, and I certainly agree with the assessment and don't think that anyone would disagree. That being said, he had a bad game. Great players have bad games. s*** happens, you move on and try to do better the next game.
  22. Rose has just not played well this game, and he's their only offensive threat.
  23. That was a great defensive play by Bibby
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 18, 2011 -> 09:18 PM) James took 4 steps after the foul and they still gave him the shot I'm rooting for the Bulls, but that is called continuation in every game ever played in the NBA this season.
