  1. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 09:23 PM) Reminds you a bit of this, eh? "Twins general manager Bill Smith, on Livan Hernandez, who improved to 10-6 with a 5.29 earned-run average with Saturday's victory over Texas: I'll take the (10) wins. Who do you want, a guy who's 10-15 with a 2.80 ERA or a guy who's 16-8 with a 7.00 ERA? I'll take the 16-8." That was actually the first thing that came to mind. It's amazing how f***ing stupid people can be.
  2. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 08:45 PM) LOL Give me an inefficent night like Rose had vs Indy but makes the game winning hoop to an efficent night like Paul had while getting owned by the Lakers. And this is when the conversation ends. That's a really, really, really, really downright moronic analysis of Rose's night.
  3. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 05:59 PM) It´s funny, CP3 doesn´t have a stellar game and now no one is here trying to make the CP3 better than Rose argument... That's because there's really no point in doing it. Do I think Paul is a better player than Rose? Yes, and one game doesn't change that (It's worth noting that his game was still incredibly efficient). Is it worth making that argument in here, where people clearly have no interest in listening? No, not really.
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 11:27 AM) OMG HOW DO YOU NOT CALL KEVIN LOVE A TOP 15 PLAYER AURGHTHRHG I never said he was?
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 10:11 PM) But the dude is spectacular. I just can't believe how sensitive some are. I love Rose. But c'mon now. It's been this way all season and is only getting worse.
  6. QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 11:27 PM) QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 11:27 PM) Didn't Duncan get thrown out of a game once for laughing? Duncan is like the dude you hang out with just to study with. And use to help you cheat on an exam. Sup
  7. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 11:25 PM) Rasheed Wallace got a T for staring at a ref. lol it's just the way it is.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 11:23 PM) T's are based on reputation. Rose might have had a couple of Ts in his career, Howard has, what, 50 in the past 3-4 years? True, but they shouldn't be. If an excessive reaction is a T for one player, it should be the same for another.
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 11:19 PM) What a cheap play by Price. Rose is lucky he didn't get T'd up. That's a technical every day of the week and twice on Sunday for Dwight.
  10. Well, I guess the refs want the Bulls to win this one
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 10:59 PM) 2/5 from 3 isn't a bad percentage. Sure, quote me on it a half hour later Sorry, forty minutes later!
  12. 22 turnovers? Who do the Bulls think they are, the Timberwolves?
  13. Just turned on the game, so I haven't seen any of it up to this point, but it looks like Rose is still taking those threes... (Oh, and just to be completely clear, I agree entirely nite about CP3/Rose. And I said this way before CP3's game against the Lakers. nite is right.)

    QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 16, 2011 -> 12:32 AM) <!--quoteo(post=2346215:date=Apr 4, 2011 -> 10:43 AM:name=Steve9347)-->QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 10:43 AM) <!--quotec--> I think I am going to love this movie. I guess people have been surprised by the amount of violence in it, too. It looks quite awesome. So this is randomly on demand on Comcast as an in theater IFC flick for 7.99. It's under the new arrivals section. It's hilarious and super violent. Seems like a "more mainstream" (this isn't the right phrase at all, but it'll have to do for the time being) version of Defendor, minus the psychological health aspect.

  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 08:38 AM) Hopefully he finally figured it out, but I am going to be a doubter just because he has always been in trouble, back to his first arrest in 8th grade. Have you watched Randolph play at all the last few years? The dude is a beast.
  17. QUOTE (Fotop @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 09:09 PM) Videotape by Radiohead. /pretentious /obligatoryuseofradioheadinanymusicthread On that note: (also tops my list for "songs to listen to in a rainstorm") Ween - A Tear for Eddie DJ Shadow - Changeling
  18. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 09:10 PM) zach randolph > kevin love Believe it or not, I don't really disagree right now. They both rebound with about the same tenacity, and Randolph has a more versatile offensive game. Give Love another 7 years, and things might be different. But right now? Randolph is probably the better player. And this certainly doesn't take away the excellence of Love's season or how good a player he is. This season was remarkable.
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 05:22 PM) I wonder if you watched the Bulls game yesterday. I doubt the Lakers give Paul that much room again. The Lakers had a couple of possessions where Gasol got crossed up and was defending Paul 1 on 1. It's not that hard to shake a 7 footer when you have the quickness that Paul has. I did watch the Bulls yesterday. I wasn't particularly impressed by Rose until the fourth quarter, when he basically took over the game and made it his b****. He was the reason they won, without a doubt. First three quarters though, I just wasn't impressed with his performance. He was getting killed by Collison, didn't take care of the ball particularly well and was settling for the outside shot way too much. He had a couple of really flashy plays that were awesome, but other than that he wasn't playing the type of basketball he should be. The fourth quarter, obviously, was a completely different story. Really, really excellent play to give the Bulls the W.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 05:01 PM) D-rose is god. But Chris Paul is the f***in' s***. When he's healthy, I don't know, It's hard to argue that he's not the top PG in the game. Then again, Fisher was checkin' him most of this game. This game is exactly why Paul is a better player than Rose right now (which is not a shot at Rose, but Paul is that good).
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 01:24 PM) Haren shooting for a 4 K inning. He's no Kelly Wunsch
  22. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 16, 2011 -> 10:49 PM) When saying Rose was 0-9 from 3 also keep in mind that he threw up 2 heaves at the end of quarters 1 and 2 and another desperation 3 just before the shot clock ran out. 0-6 is still bad but 0-9 is misleading. 1.) He doesn't get a pass on that shot clock desperation shot because he was the one that took it out to the three-point line with no time left on the clock. 2.) He still shouldn't be taking that many threes. 3.) You don't know basketball. 4.) Rose played a very good game, but the idea that his three does anything for his game is absurd. Maybe a couple here and there to keep the defense honest, but anything more than that is just detrimental.
