It wasn't me. I was never on the MLB boards. Luckily I have talked a lot of good people into coming over here. I would say I have convinced about 10 people to switch over here.

When a team signs multiple FAs the team that has the worst record of teams losing FAs gets the pick, the next in line gets the 2nd round. We just had dumb luck of who we lost people to.

I am thinking that both of them sound like they have bigger ceilings than any of our pitchers.

If they are filing unemployment claims they are required to put forth so much effort to look for work, granted the chances of being checked on are remote, but statistically I gotta believe the amount of people who have exhausted their 6 months are way more than people too lazy to look for a job. If they were just not looking for work, and not filing claims, they don't count towards the "official" unemployment number.

Nope it is just claims. The unemployment number is one of the most easily manipulated because it is so specific. You are considered "employed" if you work one hour in a week.

They got that fullback from Washington (I can't remember his name) so they really didn't need him anymore. Also keep in mind that NFL contracts are not guarenteed, except for signing bonuses, which means they lost nothing by resigning him.

Meh you beat me to it. I still say my idea of setting those 43 NASCAR guys lose at the IN state line and having them race to WI would be much more entertaining than driving in circles on a closed track.

I won't disagree with you at all about the ethnic angle playing a factor in the effecencies in the USSR. What does a Latvian care about Mother Russia? They don't. But we will have to disagree on the second part. A true consumer economy is greed driven. Sounds ickey I know, but the drive to earn more to own more is an essential function of consumerism, which is capitalism. When there is no possibility of moving up the ladder through hard work and effort, there is no possibility of being able to make a better life for yourself. The only way you could move up was through increasingly high dedication and work in the Communist Party, the incentive to work harder was nonexsistant. With no abilty to earn more, how can you comsume more?

Being moral, ethical, and religious at the sametime is very stressful. But I guess you heathens wouldn't understand that now would you?
