  1. Okay, then why would Angelo want Pennington then? That dude can't stay healthy either.
  2. Yep, Ozuna still had to steal second and then Escobar threw a pathetic pitch right down the cock of the plate to Crede on an 0-2 count.

  4. Here's some more photos of it... Look at that last photo and try to say with a straight face that Bonds never took roids. He looks like a friggin' WWE wrestler.
  5. I'm shocked that Bonds would even do something like that.
  6. Why would Angelo trade down to draft Grossman, passing on Byron Leftwich, and now not even like him? It can't be because Rex is fragile because why the hell would Angelo be interested in Pennington then? Doesn't make much sense, huh?
  7. Sounds like Percival is going to retire... http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-t...ov=ap&type=lgns
  8. I agree with you although Bob Wickman thinks otherwise. He's 37 years old, listed at 240 pounds (yeah right), and had one of the best seasons in his career last year. Although Wickman gets by more on smoke and mirrors (like Hermanson) than good stuff like Jenks. But Bobby could definately afford to lose a few pounds, as long as he doesn't lose any MPH off of his fastball.
  9. http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/teams/report/CHW/9271158 Sounds like good news to me.
  10. Wow, those are some great photos. I thought Sportsline was only using thumbnail-sized pictures? Unfortunately, I'm not seeing any White Sox photos there at all. http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/teams/photos/CHW
  11. He already throws over 100 MPH. How much more heat does he need? Sorry, lame joke.
  12. I knew it wasn't a war movie before I watched it and I thought it was still bad.
  13. Not too many lefties can hit monster pull-shots and also go opposite field like Thome. If he stays healthy, he's going to have a monster year. U.S. Cellular Field Dimensions LF – 330 feet LCF – 377 feet CF – 400 feet RCF – 372 feet RF – 335 feet

  15. I'm sure he would have been our DH but I get the joke as well.

  19. Chris Penn didn't have the looks to be a star, his brother apparently did. The Thin Red Line was a good movie? Coulda fooled me.
  20. For once, someone actually asked a decent question in the WhiteSox.com Mailbag:
  21. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cws • Anderson on intrasquad action: 350K • Jerry Owens on his speed: 350K • Ozzie Guillen on Brian Anderson: 350K I guess both Anderson and Owens hit triples in the intrasquad game yesterday. Both showed a lot of speed in the game. Owens is the fastest guy in the organization. Owens took full responsibility for leaving winter ball early. He sounds like a really good guy.
  22. SHOCKING!!! It's a shame though. He had more talent than his lameass brother.
  23. I didn't catch the entire interview from the start. Here's what I heard: * KW talked about Jenks getting into shape for his sophomore season. Talks about other closer options in the bullpen if Jenks fails -- Hermanson, Cotts, McCarthy. KW said that when he builds a bullpen he likes to have multiple closing options. * KW pretty much admitted that we almost landed Griffey at the trade deadline last season, without actually saying Griffey's name because that would be against MLB rules. * KW is worried about taking away some of the luster of Frank for his fans by his comments yesterday. North said that KW's comments were long overdue. KW said that he wants all of his players to be about the team first. Basically, he doesn't want any superstar egos on the team. * North talked about how stupid the WBC is due to injuries. KW said that our pitchers (Garcia & Vazquez) could get hurt in Spring Training anyways so it isn't a huge deal. KW also mentioned that the WBC could help a few really good players reach the MLB when they would not have had the chance before.
