  1. Borchie with a big K. Ugly. Ozuna with a 1-out floater to RF. He's 2 for 2. Thome with his second full count of the game and he hammers a bomb off the wall in CF. Should be a homer but it's a double instead. 6-1 Sox. Crede with a double to the LCF gap. 7-1 Sox. Gload swings at a pitch at his head and grounds out. Inning over. 7-1 Sox.
  2. I think it was Jason Dellaero. Not sure though. Nice play by Borchie.
  3. Jesus Christ, Crede is a defensive wizard. Pierre singles up the middle. Vazquez drills Hairston.
  4. Gload ends the inning on a groundout to short. Inning over. 5-1 Sox.
  5. Single up the middle for Anderson. Great AB by BA. A shot right at Rusch's shin by Borchie. Upping that trade value! Runners at 1st and 2nd, no outs.
  6. Leadoff single for the 90 year old Marquis Grissom. He will be Busty's new favorite this season.
  7. They probably do but Rusch is starting the second game of the season for them, not Maddux.
  8. #2... Carlos Zambrano Glendon Rusch Greg Maddux Jerome Williams That's how they set their rotation. They don't want tee-ball Maddux pitching against the Reds at GAB.
  9. LOL, Rusch is a gas can... and he's the Cubs' #2 starter to begin the season.
  10. Now that's f***ing postseason Crede swing. 4-1 Sox.
  11. Typical Ozuna with a smash down the line. Leadoff double.
  12. Borowski will only earn up to $1.05 million if he makes 60 appearances next season. I still wouldn't want him though. His smoke and mirrors act is up, just like Hermanson.
  13. Agreed, people are overrating his defense. It's not that good. I like his bat off the bench though.
  14. Eh, hitting in ST damn sure couldn't hurt their trade value IMO.
  15. But there is a good reason to push them to play even better -- trade value. If I'm Ozzie and I see what Hermanson is going through, I want both of these guys to hit .500 so Kenny can trade one of them for a reliever. But I read that article and it seems like Ozzie is doing the same thing with Boone Logan. He is hyping the kid up so the other pitchers start performing.
  16. I think it's all talk. Sweeney will be playing in the minors. We have two guys who are out of options so it makes no sense. I think Ozzie just wants to motivate Borchard and Gload.
  17. Ozuna might have more value than Borchard around the league but I wouldn't put my money on it. I agree that teams need guys like Ozuna but they don't have much trade value. As far as the Marlins go, they are trying to replace Pokey Reese, whom they signed for next to nothing, with one of these guys. How did we originally get Ozuna? He was a non-roster invitee last spring. Just look at who we gave up for a good, young utility guy in Cintron -- Jeff Bajenaru. Keep in mind that Cintron has much more value than guys like Ozuna, Desi Relaford, and Tomas Perez. So if Cintron only netted the Diamondbacks Bajenaru, what are guys like Ozuna, Relaford, and Perez going to be worth? Next to nothing. Meanwhile, the Marlins are so bad right now after trading away all of their talent that Borchard could be starting in their outfield.
  18. I think Borchard has more trade value than Ozuna. Borchard is 27 year old outfielder with power and the Marlins have a hole in LF (Chris Aguila). They could also use some more pop in their lineup, especially playing in that stadium. Teams might still want to take a chance on him. Ozuna is a 31 year old backup utility guy at best. He is fairly replaceable. Afterall, look at the scrubs that the article mentions as guys that the Marlins could be interested in -- Desi Relaford and Tomas Perez.
  19. He definately had the perfect user name for that prediction.
