  1. 2-0 after the 1st period. They have been outshooting their opponents by a mile lately.
  2. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 04:34 PM) Downright embarrassed to be a Cowboys fan right now after that 1st half. Haha, it's getting worse.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 03:54 PM) That DE move would be really bad. Anderson is not an every down DE, no matter how much Babich wants to use him on running downs. He really ought to be a passing down specialist. After the year he's had, I'm not sure of the cap implications of dropping Vasher, but if it saves a decent chunk you'd have to. I'd imagine that since he was only extended recently though that it probably won't save much until at least 2010 if you drop him. Yeah, I agree with both of your points, but these very well could be moves made this offseason. Ogunleye is much better vs the run, but he was almost a non-factor this year. Vasher, I'm actually a fan of, and if you keep him, Graham becomes an awesome nickel back.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 03:28 PM) Some of those would be intelligent moves...but those kind of trades would eat up a lot of cap space. That's where he would have to get creative. Cut the players you think are expendable and get the young guys in there to replace them. The most popular one seems to be the Vasher/Graham swap. Maybe let go of Ogunleye and give Anderson the other DE spot.
  5. If I'm Jerry Angelo, I'd trade all my draft picks for players. Boldin, McNabb, O and D linemen, etc.
  6. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 03:01 PM) Except he did it last year for Archuleta. Quite a difference giving up a 6th rounder compared to a 1st AND 3rd. IF he does keep it, we'd have to hope Jeremy Maclin was on the board. Though, knowing Jerry Angelo, he'd probably draft a defensive tackle or something.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:53 PM) People say- "I don't want to trade for Boldin because it'll cost us a 1st rounder and a 3rd rounder". So what? What will we do with that 1st rounder? I say we make that trade, then go with an OG (in the 2nd), then an OT (in the 3rd with the compensation we'll get for Berrian), then a FS (in the 4th). I'd rather sign Houshmandzadeh if we have the money, but I'd definitely do that trade if we couldn't sign Housh.
  8. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:51 PM) Rex was good for 1/2 a season, too. In any event, if it's an injury, count me as being against a guy who's taken 10 games and still isn't effective after an ankle injury. Actually, Orton's perfect for this group: M - E - D - I - O - C -R - E. To be fair, he never really had any time to recover and get back to 100%. And when you play 10 games on an injured ankle, it's hard to give it time to rest and heal. He was an above-average NFL quarterback before the injury.
  9. Forte better have some kind of injury we don't know about. No excuse for not having him on the field.
  10. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:48 PM) Olson had that ball and it should've been a TD. One thing I noticed is that Orton eyes his receiver too much. That's been a problem for him all year.
  11. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:47 PM) we could use a starting FS, starting SS, a shut down CB, an outside linebacker, a fullback, a backup RB, a QB, 3 OLman and #1 and #2 WR for starters. Fixed.
  12. STFU announcers. This D is not good nor great. They suck.
  13. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:38 PM) Yeah, that was a good 4 games. He was injured Nov 2nd vs Detroit, meaning he was about 7 1/2 games into the season.
  14. Oh now the ref's want to make the right call. f***ing f***.

  16. Defense doesn't want to win today. Saved by the hold.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:28 PM) Orton just isn't good, I don't understand why people don't realize this. Because he was pretty damn good before the ankle injury.
  18. That's the reason why Ron Turner sucks. 1st down deep ball, incomplete. So on 2nd and 10, a bubble pass to Hester, by himself on the right side.
