  1. QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 03:47 PM) Just ask the Tigers what a stacked expensive lineup promises you. The Tigers rotation can't come close to sniffing what the Yanks have.
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 12:43 AM) JD on 1000 today said something about how if the Raiders can stop Johnson, the Bears will. Hey dumba**, the Raiders have THE best cover-CB in football. And a helluva safety in Michael Huff.
  3. QUOTE (tommy @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 11:43 PM) Forte 5 yard gain. Who blocked that FG? Alex Brown. FORTE 1ST DOWN!
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 11:37 PM) Too close to the sideline for anything significant. Yeah, after said player kicked the ball.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 11:31 PM) I have no faith whatsoever in our pass defense to come up with crucial stops. Well, when your D-Line gives the quarterback a week to throw, it also allows the WR's to run free and shake the CB's.
  6. I'd cut Adrian Peterson right now...during the game. You f***ing bonehead.
  7. He got it on forward progress, it has to be a good spot.
  8. This is what I expected from Hester in week 1, not week 16.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:54 PM) I am far from a football expert, but if you blitz all your LBs, like we just did on 3rd down, why not have the CB's up on the WR to take away that quick pass? Because it makes sense. We don't do things that make sense.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:48 PM) PULL HIM! Terrible deep ball, terrible footwork, and terrible vision. And put who in?
  11. QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:43 PM) Huh? How could it not make sense? He has no touch on his deep ball, and it sucks. All true. Well, when referencing a quarterback, usually "touch" means taking a bit off a throw. When talking about deep balls, Orton needs to put more on it, not put touch on it. He underthrows a lot of guys deep. Putting touch on deep balls would be more like lobbing one in or something, which he doesn't need to do. The trajectory is fine, the distance is not.
  12. QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:38 PM) Orton's deep ball is still horrible, no touch whatsoever. That makes no sense.
  13. They need to play Soulja Boy when Hester goes to return a punt, it worked so well before.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:31 PM) Kornheiser is so bad He's worse than bad. You can tell he was waiting all night to say that Blagojevich joke. Either that or he thought of it at halftime and wanted to use it right away.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:22 PM) Still alive..G-reg is fantastic The Bears are 1 stud WR (and a better O-Line) short of having a pretty dangerous offense. When Olsen is your top receiver, teams can relax on the pass and take away the run. Anquan Boldin would be awesome, with an improved Hester and the TE duo of Olsen and Clark.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 10:18 PM) 3rd and 3 and we are running WR patterns 15 yards down field. How about a slant or some hooks or curls? IMO, a well placed quick slant is the highest success rate on 3rd and short, especially if they're giving you a cushion. The Rams used to run it all the time with Bruce/Holt/Warner and Bulger.
