  1. Danks getting shelled a bit here now. 2 run double by Kouzmanoff.
  2. Back to back hits, runners on 1st and 2nd.
  3. Crede with the double, Erstad scores. 8-2 Sox.
  4. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 03:05 PM) Their lineup is going to be ridiculous. What I've read is that they are going to go Blake/Garko at 1B along Nixon/Blake in RF and Dellucci/Michaels in LF. I figure they can probably get Garko about 350-400 ABs, so that should be more than enough. When Blake plays 1st, who will play 3rd? Oh, duh, forgot about Marte.
  5. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 02:57 PM) I think Garko's a bit overrated at times, but agree that he is a hell of a good hitter. I'm not sure how much playing time he's going to get in that lineup though, it's just that f'ing deep. They have been and still are my favorite to win the Central, depending upon how their defense is. If it's league average, and that pen holds up, I think they are a 100 win team and could run away with the division. Their success depends solely on the health of that rotation. Sabathia, Westbrook, and Lee...if they're healthy, they're going to be good. If I'm not mistaken, Garko will be starting at 1st with Hafner at DH. But they're definitely going to rely on Garko and Barfield to produce. But with Hafner, Martinez, Blake, and Sizemore in the lineup...wow.
  6. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 02:54 PM) We also have to remember, Danks is a 5th starter, not a number one yet. So he will give up runs, he will make rookie mistakes but remember when El Duque was our starter and was absolutely miserable at the end of the year getting decked. If Danks can do a good job, keep us in games great thats all I want from my number 5 starter. I just dont want people thinking that he is going to throw shutouts just yet. That's a given. He's going to give up runs, thats a no-brainer, but how he reacts and battles will be key. We don't need another Felix Diaz/Arnie Munoz/Dan Wright fiasco. He's still young, he's going to make mistakes, but I think he will keep improving and eventually be a top of the rotation starter for us.
  7. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 02:49 PM) Way to battle Danks. COulda been much worse Yeah, he kept it to nearly the minimum. 4 K's through 2 innings is not bad at all. Uribe nearly made the play to keep it to 1 run but it was tough in the hole in short left. Couple lucky infield hits is nothing to worry about.
  8. Danks K's Giles. 7-2 Sox, going to the 3rd.
  9. Infield single for Blum in the hole, Uribe almost makes the play. 7-2, runners on 1st and 3rd, 2 dead for Marcus Giles.
  10. Danks K's Branyan on the check-swing. 2 dead, out favorite guy Geoff Blum up.
  11. Dye makes the catch on the warning track, runners tag. 1 dead, runners on 2nd and 3rd.
  12. Back up the middle, a single for Greene. 1st and 2nd, no outs. Let's see how he handles this. Seems like he got too comfortable with the big lead.
  13. Bard with a line drive single. Khalil Greene up.
  14. Andrian Gonzalez with a deep dinger to CF. 7-1 Sox.
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 02:35 PM) I'm just wondering is arbitration like some sort of secret thing that only a few lucky baseball fans know about? What is this "arbitration" you speak of?
  16. Mack flies to LF to end the inning. After 1 1/2, 7-0 Sox.
  17. Crede flies to right center, 2 dead for Mack.
  18. Dye with a single in the LF gap. Wells blows.
  19. Juanny scores on the sac fly. 5-0 Sox, Ozuna takes 2nd.
  20. Infield single for Pablo. No one was on 1st base. Juan holds at 3rd?
  21. 4-0 Sox, Uribe with the triple on the bad outfield play. Hall scores.
