So many things to see, so little time. Where are the places you want to go? Where are some interesting places you've already been? Before I go, I want to see: Antarctica, Mount Everest, Brazil, Dubai, Sparta, Rome, Australia, just to name a few... Places I've been include Alaska, Germany, Canada, and Serbia. I also managed to spend a few hours in Denver by myself .

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 12:21 AM) Forgive me for saying so, but I almost liked the 'injury' line-up better, ie the quicker group that featured lots of Thabo and TT. I'm really surprised how much time Duhon was given to guard Carter tonight. It seemed like Carter was manhandling Duhon all night. The parts I saw tonight were very ugly; a lot of quick possessions with bad jump shots; a lot of ugly jump shots; not a lot of defense; too many offensive rebounds for NJ. Here's where Ben Wallace is going to earn that $15 million the Bulls are paying him. He can't lay an egg against Shaq. I agree as far as who to guard Carter. When Deng was on him, he was held quiet. But whenever he had a guard on him, he was able to take over. Duhon, Kirk, Ben...none of them could do anything. And I'm a bit disappointed that Skiles didn't let Thabo guard Vince at all. Before he becomes a better player, Thabo will have to ear his stripes by guarding the oppositions best guard, like Bruce Bowen has had to do, but with a much further upside offensively. Overall, it was a poorly coached game by Skiles, I think everyone can agree on that. But I will say this: if Wallace is only playing 25 minutes a game against Miami, well, expect another early exit by the Bulls. This game made me dislike Tyrus Thomas and PJ Brown that much more. -

Hopefully this loss wakes people up and some start to realize that Ben Gordon is not the great player everyone makes him out to be. And now, hopefully Skiles realizes that Wallace should not be playing 25 minutes in a playoff-like game. Oh, and I'd much rather face Miami than Toronto or New Jersey. But best case would have been facing the Wiz. -

White Sox vs. Rangers, 4/18/07 (W) ~Buehrle No-Hitter~

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 04:01 PM) I bet Buerhle throws a no-hitter. Doesn't mean we'll win though. But sure, I'm sticking with the no-hitter. No, make it a PERFECT game...that way we will win. -
MARK BUEHRLE HAS PITCHED A NO-HITTER!
SoxFan1 replied to ShoeLessRob's topic in 2007 Season in Review
I can't believe I just saw a White Sox pitcher throw a no-hitter. Mark Buehrle hopefully provided us with the spark we've been looking for. THE MAN NEEDS HIS OWN THREAD! -
Any Feldco commercial ever thought of or created.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 10:35 PM) At least I am a trend setter. I was way ahead of the curve on this one. You've definitely been clamoring it on to get rid of Walk. And towards the latter part of the season last year, I started to agree with you. He needs to go. This pull-the-ball-and-swing-for-the-fences crap isn't working. I know high school hitting coaches that teach hitting better than Walker. Bring someone in here who will really teach small ball. Someone who strives for opposite field line drives and someone who can take a power hitting team and balance them out. NOTE: The 1st thing I did in Franchise Mode on MLB 2k7 was fire Greg Walker. No lie.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 09:38 PM) I'm just saying. If it turns out that Ozzie's not a racist, old-man-loving jerk, I'll be disappointed. Maybe Brian called the Venezuelan girls "nappy-headed hoes." Or something? I'm going to go ahead and say BA doesn't even play 100 games this year. We could really use him for defensive replacements...but not in Ozzie's mind. It's really getting old.

Or we can worry about the White Sox trying to win another World Series?

LMAO, Barcelona wins the 3 points because of an own goal and Stoichkov gets a win in his debut at Celta.

QUOTE(shoota @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 04:45 PM) Your philosophy of crediting Guillen reminds me of John Shoop's comment, "I'll let my record speak for itself," when asked about his questionable play calling. Sure, Shoop's record was good, but it was the defense that was mostly responsible for his record, not his play calling. Just like Guillen's players are mostly responsible for Guillen's ring and record; they win despite him (well, except in Oakland, when even they couldn't overcome Guillen's poor 9th inning outfield arrangement). I've been fair in my evaluations of Guillen. Unlike you, I point out his good moves and bad. If you want to discuss how to evaluate a manger, using win totals and rings is a poor way. Since some managers have more talented teams than others, it'd be unwise to judge them based solely on win totals. You're argument is a double edged sword my friend. The 2005 White Sox weren't a very talented team, they were a cohesive unit that came up with a lot of big hits and defensive plays. El Duque, Dustin Hermanson, Willie Harris...come on now. Ozzie Guillen took a mediocre-to-good team and made them a great team. Jim Leyland took a mediocre-to-good team and made them a great team. No one expected the White Sox to be that good in 2005, no one expected the Tigers to be that good in 2006.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 09:12 PM) That's one thing you'll never hear me say (in regards to him not being clutch). He has a lifetime pass for me after Chad Qualls. Ok, send Anderson down to AAA. There was no sarcasm in my statement...like you said, ask Chad Qualls. He just needs to get his ass in shape this year.
