QUOTE(Goldmember @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 11:51 PM) didn't have to say it, everyone can see your post count... Wait...it's still keeping track?

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 27, 2006 -> 01:10 AM) You have to clean up the crede portion a bit, check the lower left hand corner of the right graphic. I noticed that as well. EDIT:

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 11:37 PM) I wouldn't necessarily be happy with Pennant Felix. The guy's an absolute nut off the field, and I think you guys overpaid. And Slav, apparently in today's rumors Bolton are after Zigic. That would make you one happy camper. I would sacrifice myself to the soccer gods.

Messed around with this one, tried about 3 or 4 different layouts, liked t his one best:

QUOTE(wsox08 @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) maybe animated was the wrong word. I have seen sigs where they flash different pics like the banner at the top now. How do I do that? Same thing, just alter the transition between layers.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 07:31 PM) I want a bench clearing 20 minute brawl, causing 1/2 of each team to wind up with 10 game suspensions. Someone convince one of their pitchers to go headhunting. ^^^

QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 07:28 PM) Woo! Where do you get this stuff from? Is there a specific site (such as Rotoworld) for it? http://soccernet.espn.go.com/index?cc=5901 or http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/g...ers/default.stm BTW, Real Madrid has made a 10.3m bid for van Nistelrooy.

Barcelona has dropped interest in Frank Lampard. Tottenham Hotspurs likely to pursue Pavel Nedved. Jermaine Pennant signs with Liverpool from Birmingham for 6.7m. AC Milan ownership is enfuriated with Real Madrid's attempts to lure Kaka to Madrid.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 03:45 AM) On Zigic Soxfan1, I couldn't see him going to team that has just been relegated to the CCC in Birmingham City, instead of a Premier League Side like Portsmouth. West Ham were very close to signing him during the mid - season transfer window actually but we ended up with Dean Ashton. Needless to say I'm happy with that decision. You should be, Ashton is one helluva striker. But Zigic needs to get the heck out of Crvena Zvevda. Their my team and all, but he isn't going to amount to anything internationally. In Serbia, he is already a star and deservedly so. If he stays in Zvezda, he'll become a Serbian legend but will leave people wondering what kind of legacy he could have had if he left. You'll see how well Vidic will do at Man United in his 1st full season, it'll do him wonders. Zigic needs to do the same. With his talent, it's a win-win situation. I just hope he signs for a Premier League team and succeeds. Oh, and call me Slav.

Simplest way is to make each layer you want in Photoshop, then take all the layers to ImageReady, and make a little movie basically.

QUOTE(bmags @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 11:06 AM) a cabin in minnesota... nothin but fishin, drinkin, sleepin, and readin. And then more drinkin. You're into fishing? I, myself, was supposed to go to Alaska by myself again to stay with my godfather and his family and do some salmon fishing/ocean fishing but that fell through.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 03:18 PM) The Italian clubs appealed the decision and all got lighter penalties. Juventus is now the only team going down to Serie B and Milan is going back to the Champions League, but they have to go through qualifying. Link Changes: Milan- starts season with -8 instead of -15 and has only 30 points taken off 05/06 results (placing them 3rd). They'll start in 3rd round of CL qualifying instead of out of European competition completely. Lazio- remains in Serie A instead of demotion. Will start season with 11 point penalty. Fiorentina- remains in Serie A instead of demotion. Will start season with 19 point penalty. Juventus- point penalty starting next season in Serie B at -17 instead of -30. As far as the article mentions Lazio and Fiorentina still won't be allowed to play in European competitions. Well, that changes the perspective quite a bit. Juventus is still goign to lose a spiffload of players. Del Piero and Nevded are "definitely" staying, according to what I'm reading and Buffon plans on staying as well. If they manage to keep some sort of talent and do well, they can get promoted back to Serie A in one season.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 04:49 AM) IIRC on Kezman he was a total flop at Stamford Bridge, and didn't end up scoring for quite a few months, and then was sold after his 1st season there. I think Zigic may possibly end up at Portsmouth Soxfan1, so it will be interesting to check the giant out, and see if he is better than Peter Crouch. Those rumors are dead abou Zigic. If he stays, he'll sign long-term with Crvena Zvezda, and if he leaves, he's going to Birmingam City. BTW, he'll be better than Peter Crouch. He's stronger, faster, and a better finisher with the foot. He's still a kid and he's already more athletic than Crouch and doesn't do stupid robot dances. Arsenal, Tottenham, Portsmouth, and others were interested but never made a bid. The lastest rumor is that he's going to Birmingham City to replace Emile Heskey... http://www.jadransport.org/articles/3098.html

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 03:11 AM) James Milner is probably going to leave Newcastle for West Ham for about 3M. Excellent deal for us, another good young quick English midfielder who can play on both wings. I'd expect Sorin to go a bigger club than Bolton. Other teams are starting to show a lot more interest in him. Apparently Chelsea bid $16M for Cole, but Arsenal are holding out for $25M. In fact, maybe I should start posting the English Gossip in the papers every-day if there's enough interest. I've got it bookmarked and check it every day. BTW, question for illinilaw since he's a Chelsea fan...how bad was Kezman when he was with the Blues?

QUOTE(danman31 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 02:35 AM) Yeah, because it's the offseason. Same amount of moves made except there is a little more spice this year with the scandals in Italy. Well, I know it's the off-season, but it's mainly because there are far more leagues and teams involved then there would be in the MLB. The Italian scandals only lead to more rumors. It's like an expansion draft for the rest of the world.

I knew Valencia would have a great transfer season. They get Morientes and now Del Horno and are now looking to get Christiano Ronaldo. Barca signs Thuram and Zambrotta from Juventus, and Crespo might be leaving Chelsea for Inter Milan/AC Milan. To me, this is probably better than the MLB Trade Deadline.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 01:37 AM) So what? Mauer is a much, much better hitter. This was a pretty obvious move imo to ibb him and it wasn't made. I was calling for it at the time(and others from this site could back that up) and it's still bugging me now. Nothing anyone could do about it now.

QUOTE(BainesRules @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 01:40 AM) Hey everyone, frequent visitor but infrequent poster here. Last year I got flamed after posting a rant about how I hate being a White Sox fan while they looked like they were going to give the division to Cleveland. We all know how the season worked out, so thought I'd try it again. This team is the most disappointing team in history. First, I wanted Politte cut, and he was cut. Then I wanted Widger cut, and he was cut. Now, I want every pitcher not named Jon, Neal, or Brandon cut, and that's just too much salary. Jon Garland is our best starter, and Joe Crede is our best hitter. We are the Devil Rays without the glamour. All I know is this: Pods still does a lot of little things noone on this board recognizes and the fans and media are about to have him run out of town...Thome hits more meaningless homers than anyone in Chicago since Steroid Corky Sosa...Mark is a head case...Freddy, I won't say it since you pitched seven strong in the greatest game of our lifetimes...Javy, you must be a Republican party contributor because you are getting away with stealing tens of millions...and Paulie, you're the freaking captain of the world champs, try some Rogaine and date a supermodel. Now that that's out of the way, I feel better, but seriously, we need dump Freddy, Javy, and every prospect to land Dontrelle Willis and Jason Schmidt (the offense and bullpen are fine), or dump Freddy, Javy, Mark, Thome (while he's hot), and Crede (I'm sorry Joe Clutch), stack up the farm system, and put up with 3 100 loss seasons while we wait for gravity to catch up with the Tigers and Liriano and Santana turn into Wood and Prior. Flame away-we'll turn this thing around. GO SOX. Yikes. The most dissapointing team in history? Nah. See: 2004 Yankees, 2001 Mariners, etc. You praise Pods but rip Thome, Konerko, Buehrle? Why dump Contreras? 17 wins in a row just isnt good enough sometimes.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 12:31 AM) The Mauer ab is what really got to me this game. I was calling for a ibb right as 2nd base was stolen. Ozzie had to play the damn match up game and pitch to one of the best hitters in baseball with Michael Cuddyer on deck. Unbelievable. Well, Cuddyer did hit a 470+ foot bomb earlier in the game...
