  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 9, 2008 -> 03:42 PM) First, he sought their endorsement and that doesn't make him a member, though it would've given him their votes, which now is considered unconstitutional I believe. Second, do you really think seeking the endorsement of a left leaning group is on the same plane as a group wanting to secede from the United States and whose leader had Hugo Chavez type language about the United States? I assure you it isn't. Obama's move was just a political play to get votes early in his career. BARACK "not the man I knew" OBAMA BARACK "not the ACORN I knew" OBAMA BARACK "not the pastor I knew" OBAMA

  4. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 06:40 AM) Hedge funds deleveraging is what I've heard. And huge mutual fund redemptions.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 9, 2008 -> 05:22 PM) It depends on whether or not you have a plan to do anything during the time its closed. There is nothing "they" can do while the mkt is closed that will avoid a crash when it re-opens. After 9-11 the mkt was down huge the first day trading resumed. The 2002 lows on the SPX at 765.68 WILL NOT HOLD. Be it today, Monday or more likely after a vicious rally of a hundred or two points in the SPX. Then, our next support will be in the 500's.
  6. Waiting with baited breath for the MSM newscasts tonight to do a story on Messiah being a member of the NEW Party. They were all over Palin being a supposed member of a seccessionist party(false), so I am sure they will follow this story with as much vigor.
  7. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Oct 8, 2008 -> 07:51 PM) Apparently 105% of the population of Indianapolis is registered to vote. i wonder if ACORN has an office or three there? http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/more_vote...its_population/ Oh, and they have problems in Missouri also http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081009/ap_on_el_ge/voter_fraud Reminiscient of Franklin County, Ohio in 2004 where 817,000 people were registered and they only had 815,000 residents over age 18.
  8. Nothing to see here just registering people to vote. We want record turnout this year. http://www.babalublog.com/archives/009940.html
  9. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Oct 8, 2008 -> 10:04 PM) There is no basis for it. So the press will not mention this if McCain were to win, right?
  10. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 8, 2008 -> 11:39 AM) Curious...for all the McCain supporters who cited Obama's big spending as a concern, do you feel better now that McCain is proposing a $300 billion buyout of bad mortgages? Is it part of the 700 billion?
  11. QUOTE (longshot7 @ Oct 8, 2008 -> 01:23 PM) The person I feel sorry for in all this is Bill Ayers. Yeah me too. Wait be quiet, can you hear me playing my violin.
  12. ACORN: Look, We Can't Weed Out Fraudulent Voters. It's What We Do. This sounds like an Onion parody: A national voter-registration group admitted to Cuyahoga County election officials Tuesday that it cannot eliminate fraud from its operation. The group blamed inefficiency and lack of resources for problems such as being unable to spot duplicate voter-registration cards or cards that may have been filled out by workers to make quotas. The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, has turned in at least 65,000 cards to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections in the last year. The board has investigated potentially fraudulent cards since August. The group has faced similar inquiries in other large Ohio counties. And Nevada state authorities recently raided ACORN's Las Vegas headquarters searching for evidence of fraud, according to the Associated Press. ...Cuyahoga election workers flagged about 50 names on suspicious cards. The cards were to register the same names, raising the possibility that canvassers shared information when trying to make quotas. ...Kris Harsh, ACORN's head Cleveland organizer, blamed the elections board for not scrutinizing ACORN's suspicious cards. He said the group can't be expected to catch everything. "None of us have ever achieved perfection," Harsh said.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 04:45 PM) What a terrible thing, the Obama campaign doesn't want lies spread. When you give someone a tax break doesn't the person receiving the tax break actually have to PAY TAXES? Why doesn't he just say he wants to re-distribute income? Be honest.
  14. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 04:34 PM) If someone is going to air a commercial or have an interview with an author that Obama does not approve of, Obama has threatened to have their licensed revoked. The dirtiest tactic in recent election history by far. They know if he wins they could very well get their license revoked. It's an obvious threat. I would actually be very surprised if you support such threats. He has also sent out commands to his followers to go after any station that has authors whom write a negative book about Obama. Who knows, Obama has so many fanatical worshippers he really shouldn't be sending out orders to go after any media outlets. Results could end up being tragic. RACISM RACISM RACISM RACISM RACISM
  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 03:56 PM) I particularly disliked the ad where he claimed McCain wants to teach sex ed to kindergarten students.....oh wait. Did you actually read what was in the bill?
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 01:56 PM) So what is the GOP trying to insinuate with all of this? That if Obama wins he and Ayers will blow up our country? What do you mean with all of this? A first person account of some lowlife trying to kill him and the rest of his family is pretty chilling. The only bad thing is Ayers and Dohrne weren't in the apartment with the other knuckle heads when the bombs they were assembling blew up in their faces..
  17. I Was NIne Years Old... ...when Barack Obama's friend tried to kill me. The mainstream media have bought Barack Obama's spin on his relationship with Bill Ayers--I was only eight years old when he was trying to commit mass murder!--hook, line and sinker. So it's revealing to hear from one of Ayers' intended victims, John Murtagh: During the April 16 debate between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, moderator George Stephanopoulos brought up “a gentleman named William Ayers,” who “was part of the Weather Underground in the 1970s. They bombed the Pentagon, the Capitol, and other buildings. He’s never apologized for that.” Stephanopoulos then asked Obama to explain his relationship with Ayers. Obama’s answer: “The notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was eight years old, somehow reflects on me and my values, doesn’t make much sense, George.” Obama was indeed only eight in early 1970. I was only nine then, the year Ayers’s Weathermen tried to murder me. In February 1970, my father, a New York State Supreme Court justice, was presiding over the trial of the so-called “Panther 21,” members of the Black Panther Party indicted in a plot to bomb New York landmarks and department stores. Early on the morning of February 21, as my family slept, three gasoline-filled firebombs exploded at our home on the northern tip of Manhattan, two at the front door and the third tucked neatly under the gas tank of the family car. (Today, of course, we’d call that a car bomb.) A neighbor heard the first two blasts and, with the remains of a snowman I had built a few days earlier, managed to douse the flames beneath the car. That was an act whose courage I fully appreciated only as an adult, an act that doubtless saved multiple lives that night. Read it all. During the years when Obama was "palling around" with Ayers, as Sarah Palin accurately termed it, Ayers was proud of his attempt to kill nine-year-old John Murtagh and his family. He said, for publication, that his only regret was that he and his murderous colleagues hadn't tried to kill more people. This unrepentant would-be mass murderer was the one person (along with his bloodthirsty wife, the only public figure, to my knowledge, who expressed enthusiastic approval of the Charles Manson murders) whom Barack Obama chose, over all other friends and acquaintances, to host his inaugural Democratic Party political fundraiser. And Ayers was Obama's close collaborator in trying to "reform" Chicago's public education system by drenching it in radical politics and anti-Americanism. Exactly as Obama dropped out of Jeremiah "God damn America" Wright's church only when the association became politically inconvenient, he insincerely "denounced" Ayers only after his association with the terrorist had become a liability. That was after years of working with Ayers as a radical political ally, without showing the slightest concern about his friend's career as an attempted mass murderer. One wonders, sometimes, what it would take to convince an American reporter that a Democratic Presidential candidate has poor judgment

  19. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 10:21 AM) New PA Poll- Obama +15.... Obama 55, McCain 40 Is this one as good as the VA. one yesterday that had something like a plus 12-13 Dem advantage?
  20. Once upon a time, Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod acknowledged that Ayers and Obama were "certainly friendly[.]" As the New York Post reports, however, yesterday Axelrod was peddling the latest Obama campaign spin on the relationship: Obama had been unfamiliar with Ayers's terrorist past as recently as 1995. "There's no evidence that they're close," Axelrod added Which one is the lie? Also, we are supposed to believe a Columbia University educated, Harvard trained, U of C law professor does not know who Ayers is as of 1995? Please, Don't bulls*** a bullsh*****.
  21. When this meeting took place at Ayers' house, was Obama teaching at the U of C?
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 07:59 AM) So if the problem is lack of regulations, how come Iceland, and the EU, which are WAY more regulated than the US are having the same collapse of banking? http://www.fool.co.uk/news/your-money/savi...-in-crisis.aspx http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Business/...g_Funke_Resigns http://www.businessweek.com/globalbiz/cont...global+business George Bush.
  23. The ACORN flow chart: http://justsaynodeal.com/acorn.html Barnet Frank is the biggest pud in Washington. He dates an executive from Fannie for 7 years and says there is no conflict of interest.
  24. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) i know obama supporters will write this off just as some fluke. but this is a serious issue. We're racists.
  25. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 12:51 PM) Indeed. The Obama campaign has most likely set a new record for number of individual donors for a Presidential campaign (Tens of millions). There's a big difference between 100 donations like this and 10K. Only 100? You sure about that?
