I'm just an out-of-town fan as frustrated by this season as anyone else. I'll have to pull out my WS champs t-shirt for the trip to remind myself that there have been better days. I'll be in Chi-town tomorrow. Can't wait.

Taste of Chicago isn't getting a lot of votes. Daytime stuff is still up in the air for sure. What other daytime activities are recommended? Thursday and Friday are open. No, we aren't going to see Oprah.

Staying at the Holiday Inn Mark Plaza (Priceline). Arriving July 4 around 12:30 Chi-town time. We thought about hitting Taste of Chicago on the 4th (daytime), then maybe a show at Second City that night. Thanks for the pizza recommendations. What's a good place to indulge my need to buy something Sox-related and not get too ripped off?

I'm coming to Chicago on July 4 for a long weekend. To make a short story long, I have tickets to the July 5 Orioles game and would like some advice. What are the good eats inside the stadium? What's the best way to get there? Typical tourist stuff would be appreciated. Best place for Chicago pizza, good location for July 4 fireworks (I hear there are none downtown), etc. etc.

The price now is $48.95.

I'm frustrated, just like any Sox fan, but I can put that World Series DVD in the player tonight and they can't take that away from me. At least I don't have to go sleepless for the next three weeks watching those 9:30 p.m. games.

The 2001 versions had numbers. I got one on ebay with (gulp) Jose Canseco's number. At least there aren't names on the back. There were a bunch on ebay a couple of years ago, but I bet that supply has dried up.

Did someone mention Mark Cuban? How many titles has he won? The payroll's going up next year. Will the team be better? Probably not.

After seeing what they've done in their last few playoff appearences you're worried about the As? That would be our ideal matchup. The only reason the national media is calling the Sox's first half a fluke is because no one predicted it. Do the Sox need to make a move? That's the big question. If Marte comes back and if they stick El Duque in a freezer and thaw him out in October, where does this team need to improve? I suppose shortstop but do you want to trade two or three good prospects for a guy like Rafael Furcal?

Analyzing a draft off the cuff makes for good copy. If that writer can say more than two sentences about every prospect drafted, now that would be an accomplishment.

I'm going to enjoy the start. The Sox will compete with the Twins all year for division supremecy. What else is new?

If all the guy does is hit, why can't he play? Does the ankle affect his ability to swing?
