I agree with that. Drafting is a science but you have to have some luck too. A lot of the times the sox have drafted high there's not much to choose from. Hasn't been impact players lately that are sure fire things. Its what you do to get the best. The problem with the sox too is that they have no organizational philosophy. What is our goal? Pitching and defense? High OBP guys? Speed? Power? That gives a direction to the org. I only wish someone would convince jerry to spend on drafting, scouting, analytics and latin America. At the end you'll save more money and make more than forking out on aging and plooding vets.
