MLB to address blackouts
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 2, 2007 -> 05:49 PM) Heads, how come the Cards vs. Brewers game on ESPN (and FS midwest) wasn't blacked out, yet the Sox against the Tigers was? Iowa sucks. yea, I was suprised it wasn't blacked out here as well. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 2, 2007 -> 06:59 PM) Thank you. It's so frusterating being blacked out of Sox games in Carbondale when I don't get CSN. It's ridiculous. Do they even get CSN off campus? Hopefully I will be off campus next year, because freaking NIU doesn't get CSN on campus. What a joke.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 2, 2007 -> 04:27 PM) O RLY? Yep minus Buehrle and Jose, our starters were better the 2nd half. It was the hitting that f***ed us.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 2, 2007 -> 04:26 PM) If we had pitching like this in the 2nd half of last season, we make the playoffs. Our pitching was a lot better in the 2nd half last year.

It's too bad Guillen is gonna let Erstad hit here.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 2, 2007 -> 04:20 PM) Is Aardsma in the doghouse? Seems like he's being used a lot less frequently. I hate seeing MacDougal on the mound two straight games, especially in trailing situations. I'm a big fan of MacDougal's, but you have to be careful with him. Lol I was actually wondering that myself, but I looked and Mac has pitched 9.3 innings(before today) and Aardsma over 15. It seems like he always uses Aarsdma when we are behind and Mac in the key situations.

QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 2, 2007 -> 04:14 PM) I think I'm giving up on this team until Kenny grows a pair and fires someone. I can't BELIEVE he is settling for this f***ing bulls***. So long. I guess you're not a real fan then.

Good outing by Danks, I really feel bad for the guy. The one negative thing I will say is he gives up way too many homers.

White Sox loser
QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 2, 2007 -> 03:37 PM) Well Morrow was only throwing 94 on the comcast gun, and so was thorton, they both throw 97 consistently and sometimes harder. Its been off all year. It's been off on Comcast since they started broadcasting Sox games. Not sure about WGN, seems like thats off a lot.

The next big Juice scandal
QUOTE(fathom @ May 2, 2007 -> 01:59 PM) There's a couple of golden boys of baseball that wouldn't shock me if there names come up. I actually heard a fascinating story about three well known players recently, but I'll just keep them to myself for now. PM me the names

QUOTE(soxfan72 @ May 2, 2007 -> 10:22 AM) - Thome for Rowand is a bust. Rowand is a hard-nosed CF and hotter than s**t right now. We haven’t had a complete out field since. Come to think of it, we haven’t made the playoffs since. Give me a break. You would trade our best hitter for Aaron Rowand? It sucks having grinderstad and pods in the outifield, but you have to be on crack to trade Thome for Rowand.

QUOTE(mr_genius @ May 1, 2007 -> 11:37 PM) like i said, a lot you guys complain about almost every move he makes. and a lot of the time you guys are way off base. i need to stop reading the game threads I still think that Konerko, Dye, and Crede will turn it around. That being said our 1-2 still sucks and there will be a lot of solo homers.

f*** the offense f*** Ozzie

White Sox vs. Mariners, 5/1/07 (L)
QUOTE(mr_genius @ May 1, 2007 -> 11:31 PM) whatever. if ozzie takes him out and they give up a run then "ozzie is a moron for taking him out!111!!!!!" if ozzie keeps him in "WTF!!!!! ozzie take him out!" no matter what move he makes some of you guys will spaz. Before the inning everybody said he should have been out.

White Sox vs. Mariners, 5/1/07 (L)
QUOTE(fathom @ May 1, 2007 -> 11:27 PM) Vazquez should have never started the inning. That's vintage Ozzie from last year where he'd leave his starter in to start an inning late in the game where there was realistically no reason for them to be out there. I can't even start to count the amount of times a pitcher went from having a line of 6 innings, 3 runs to 6.1 innings, 5 runs. That was Guillen's biggest problem in 2006. I thought he had learned, I guess not.

QUOTE(TheOcho @ May 1, 2007 -> 11:21 PM) Atleast Matt is hitting 95. He should be hitting 98, but he's on the Sox.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 1, 2007 -> 11:11 PM) I'm no fan of Vazquez, but any runs this inning are on Ozzie. Vazquez has been damn good this year.

TAKE HIM OUT!!!!!!!!!!! Ozzie has actually been pretty good about not leaving guys in too long this year too.
