Why does singleton have to do 3 innings of play by play? -

QUOTE(fathom @ May 1, 2007 -> 10:26 PM) A little disturbing that his fastball now sits at 90-91 mph, compared with the 93-94 mph it was a few years ago. It's White Sox tradition that your fastball has to drop 3-4 mph. -

Javy's run support sucked in the second half last year. -

QUOTE(Capn12 @ May 1, 2007 -> 10:05 PM) I think honestly, he got on my nerves the most with the whole 'Ichiro' on his jersey. How about if Crede just wears 'Joe' on the back of his jersey? I think its bulls***, ok so thats how you wore it back home. Guess what, thats not how we do it in the MLB in this country, tough s***. Oh lord, now you got me started on him... I do hate the Ichiro thing. -

QUOTE(Capn12 @ May 1, 2007 -> 10:01 PM) Haha, I LOVE seeing f***ing Suzuki strike out, even against the Cubs. Hate that fker. Why? I'm not judging you, just asking because most people find him to be a likeable guy. -

QUOTE(zenryan @ May 1, 2007 -> 09:50 PM) this seattle announcer is so boring At least they change announcers in the middle of the game. Although the other guy isn't any better. -
QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 1, 2007 -> 02:55 PM) Ugh. Defense be damned huh? My fault, Left. Of course this would depend on who we would have to give up.

Anyone know what his stuff is like? -
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 1, 2007 -> 02:49 PM) If you exclude injury problems... Even with those I would like him out in center.
-
From Tim Brown's blog on Yahoo I know Bradley is a nutjob, but he would look real good in center field for us. He hasn't had any problems in Oakland yet either. Don't think Guillen would want him.
-
The last I heard of Cito was when the Sox interviewed him when they eventually hired Ozzie. Why do teams shy away from him? In the time an age of recycling managers it's wierd that a guy with two rings and 4 division titles in five years can't get a job.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 02:31 PM) Of course, KW could have avoided this mess if he would have found us a LF/leadoff hitter this offseason. Just asking Who did you want KW to get? There wasn't a whole lot available.

Dallas completely s*** their pants at the end. -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 10:22 PM) And hasn't proven squat in the majors... Not to mention he was drafted out of college.

LOL at everybody calling BA a bust already. HE HAS HAD 416 AT-BATS!! Could I see him being a bust? Absolutely. But I'm not about to give up on the guy after 400 at-bats. The guy was never supposed to be a future stud. He hasn't hit yet but everyone will agree with me in that he hasn't been handled properly in his brief career.

Garrett Wolfe, NIU, Chicago Bears
WhiteSoxfan1986 replied to Steve9347's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I thought the Bears reached for GW but I'm still glad to see him in Chicago. And please people, you can talk about his size and durability all you want but don't doubt anything about the man's college career. -

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 05:34 PM) Let's also remember that Masset is being used in a long relief type of role. That might mean that he has to take a little something off of his fastball to go an extra inning or two. Which is why I don't like him in the long relief role. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 04:06 PM) How do we know he's lost velocity? Scouting reports on minor league players are usually 3 mph way too high. I never understood why we put so much stock into Arizona Fall Leagues/winter ball leagues this offseason. Well the report I read had him at 97-98 in the pen, so even if the report was 3 mph off he should still be throwing93-96, not 89-90. -
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 03:55 PM) Anderson sent down... I assume Fields is up, or there's another move to be made Good. Maybe Owens?

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 03:37 PM) How much longer will Jenks be given a pass on his 4 mph drop in velocity? Or Contreras, Garland, Thornton, Vazquez all receiving their share of drop-offs? You'd never see anything like this in Minnesota. Hell, that tub of crap Boof Bonser actually GAINED velocity since last season. He's consistently pitching between 92-94. You forgot about Masset, who has lost the most velocity. I think you have to look at one man. -
Another horrible display by our offense. I'm still worried about Bobby.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 10:21 PM) Thank God. Cintron made me puke. Prepare to puke some more, becuase Cintron will still see a lot of playing time. Ozzie said that the players who are here now will get more playing time than whoever got called up. It makes no sense at all, but that's what he said and it doesn't suprise me. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 10:29 PM) I think the only real offensive prospect in the Sox system is Cunningham. I don't mean to bash Sweeney, but he's struggling in AAA. It's only April dude.
