I totally agree. It's unacceptable behavior on so many people's parts. (see: abuse of power by the police) I remember locker searches back in the day when I was in junior high school. One time the cops came and searched a kid's locker and found some weed, and second time rumors were flying that a kid was going to shoot his dad and they searched his locker and found a revolver. so........Kids are definitely capable of doing wrong, however, a police raid?? uh...you know who the bad kids are, you can surprise them with a random locker check, but Operation Dumbo-drop? yikes. who picked up the over time tab for THOSE cops paychecks?

IT all makes sense now...

one thing that I'm planning on doing is having mandatory 10-15 minute sit down meetings with each of my students at the beginning of the year. I want them to know that I'm available for help any time they need it, and I want them to feel comfortable with telling me how they best learn and what they expect to get out of class. Being a hard ass is important as long as they see you're willing to listen and I agree with being consistent. and ALWAYS BEGOOD:)

it's not really ironic at all...haha I read what y'all have to say about the sox, because I'm a fan of it. I don't have much more to say because generally you guys know more than I do about our guys. Likewise, I know more about everything else than the rest of you I'm just sticking to what I know. plus I don't have a whole lot of time to post, but when I do I just stick to this area...it's too time consuming to switch back and forth.

preach on Apu...I'm totally with you. last night I spent 2 hour downloading music from pitchfork's new best music. anything I really love, I'm gonna buy..such as "2 conversations" by The Appleseed Cast. Anything I don't, I delete. I've purchased in excess of 200 cds in my short 23 years. At 15 bucks a pop, that's roughly 3 grand. if the prices are fixed at 5 bucks above what they should be...I am owed $1000. So, the balance of that I've spent in downloading music, or 100 burnt cds. I feel good about justifying things. I once killed a man....I mean:)
