9/16: White Sox vs Yankees, 6:05PM
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 08:18 PM) I'm going with the black authentic Alexei in the off-season. Good choice...I like the idea of the green alexei (always wanted a green iguchi).

Swish does suck but I bet a Cubs fan earlier this year on who would hit more HRs Swisher vs. Fukodome, $10/HR, going to take $150 off the sucka!

QUOTE (MAX @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 08:15 PM) I don't think he is that good of a hitter anymore. I think he knows how to hit but is no longer physically capable of being a great hitter. And its far too late in his career for him to turn into another type of hitter after doing what he has done for so long. Agreed, which is why it is a ? why we got him but I guess we didn't give up much.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 08:13 PM) Wow Ozzie asks Floyd how he is doing, Floyd says "fine", Ozzie leaves in Floyd for Abreu. I like Gavin Floyd telling Ozzie to sit down, he wants the ball!! What a contrast to Wasserman who wanted to call his mom and whine last night when he was down in the count 3-1.

QUOTE (MAX @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 08:08 PM) Don't you think that is a physical thing? Not approach based? It might be but when everyone creames themselves about what a good hitter he is you would think if he was Roy Hobbes he could help himself and the team out when they put the thome shift on for him. Last tuesday's game when we couldn't get a bunt down or score a run he could have flicked a few down the left field line. I just think he is way overrated at this point in his career...he resembles Matt Stairs more than Ken Griffey Jr.

QUOTE (MAX @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 08:06 PM) I think griffey has earned his right to go with whatever approach he wants to at this point in his storied career. If griffey is such a good natural hitter you would think he would be able to hit to the left side when they put the shift on, I mean it is not like he is a prodigous HR hitter anymore anyways.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 08:04 PM) Horacio Ramirez is one of the worst pitchers I've ever seen in a White Sox uniform. Have you seen Boone Logan... check that he is the worst.

Random thought what do the indians do next year with Haffner, with V. Martinez getting healthy again and Shoppach killing it and better defensively than Martinez they have no room for Haffner (granted he was terrible for 1.5 years).

Obviously anyone who pitched in the Royals bullpen is bound for greatness. Just missed that one.

Sox @ Yanks 6:05 on CSN
Boston has 6 HRs through 4 innings, Kazmir gave up 9 ER. That is crazy.

Wasserman pitches scared when he went 3-2 he looked into the dugout looking scared. Sack up already.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 10:15 PM) I don't think Boone has the stuff to learn anything from anybody. Maybe after 5 more years of minor league seasoning. Good point.
