This stadium is designed to be anti-lift-and-pull then huh? Nice. -

Haha, 15 pitches through 2. It's good to have some Sox baseball back! -

Well, if we employ a closer by committee, a DH by committee.. can we do a manager by committee?? -
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 9, 2010 -> 04:59 PM) I'm no where trying to call you out, but there are posters here who are negative no matter if we are winning or losing, and some others don't participate in discussion UNLESS we are losing and then they come out to add fuel to the fire. Both of these I think are destructive and tiring. I'm usually only overly negative while the games are on. When I don't have to watch them suck, I can be a little more level-headed.

QUOTE (Capn12 @ May 9, 2010 -> 04:51 PM) In other news, every Rios AB seems to be successful, and Quentin ripped the ball today. IF we can get Beckham to move down the order and find his swing, and keep Teahen hitting, who knows. Rios has been extremely impressive. Even better than I expected when we got him. I hope he keeps this up, the .300+ BA. Although, he does have a low OBP, but I guess that's alright if hes batting 5th.

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 9, 2010 -> 04:45 PM) As for the negative outlet excuse, that's bs guys. Grow the hell up. I'm a huge freaking fan too, but that doesn't mean I need to kick dogs and punch walls. It's perfectly natural to want to identify with other fans suffering through the same horrible baseball day in and day out, but the level of anger, frustration, forecasting of gloom and doom, calling out the same 3-4 players every single day, etc., has reached a point to where this is no longer a place to come and follow games. It's a place to come if you want to turn an otherwise happy day into a suicide watch. I don't know how many times I have to say this, but the baseball season is a marathon. If you live and die with every single pitch, every single run, every Gordon strikeout, etc., you're all going to lose your minds. Certain people (and I do this myself, so don't take offense), need to step back and take a deep breath, put things in perspective, and realize this is just a baseball team that is struggling mightily right now. But it's NOT the end of the world, it's NOT life or death, it's NOT a friend or family member being sick. This is a GAME. I love the game of baseball as much as anyone, and I love the Chicago White Sox as much as anyone, but we all have to get a grip. I don't think the actual players are as miserable as some of you are about this. Let's all step back and recognize what it is we have here - a baseball team that is vastly underperforming - ok, I accept that. Perhaps they are not as good as I had hoped. Perhaps they are not in the position to compete for the next few years as I had anticipated. So I must therefore reset my expectations. I must accept that they are going to struggle in this way. And now I will roll with that. I will not let it drive me crazy, I will not let it make me miserable, I will not let it impact my life in a significantly negative manner. Everyone, take a deep breath. Step away from baseball. Go rent A Perfect Getaway, and enjoy the rest of your weekend before we all head back to the coal mines tomorrow. Lucky for you that you aren't a negative person then. I don't WANT to be, I just am.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 9, 2010 -> 04:39 PM) this has to be my favorite loss of the season. The one where I just thought no way they lose this game now...then...poof I don't know about you, but I NEVER feel like a win is safe if we're not up by 3+. Knowing Bobby could be coming in means the game is never safe.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 9, 2010 -> 04:36 PM) Die hard fans ? Die hard fans are supporters, what some of here are doing are not supporting, you are right now insulting die hard fans out there. False. I do not agree with this at all. I am a die hard Sox fan, and I will be for life. I just get frustrated when they suck.
-
QUOTE (Capn12 @ May 9, 2010 -> 04:34 PM) Because some of us, no matter how bad the season is going, are diehard fans who refuse to miss a single game. I buy mlb.tv every year so I can watch every Sox game all year. Does that mean I should only comment when things are going well? This message board provides a place for all of us diehard Sox fans to vent frustrations, which, right now, there are lots of unfortunately. Ugh, you literally beat me with the exact same post by like 30 seconds, haha.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 9, 2010 -> 04:32 PM) But what's the reason of doing that every day? Certain posters come here and say we are awful/garbage/insert_whatever; Twins are gods, they are running away with this division. Next day, same exact thing. We f***ing got you the first time, why repeat yourself? Not aimed at you but some posters in general. Because we are fans, and we need some sort of outlet. If I didn't come here, I'd probably be punching holes in walls while I watch these games. But I NEED to watch them, because I love baseball and I love the White Sox.
-
AJ, Kotsay, Pierre to end it. Haha, It's like euthanasia.
-
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 9, 2010 -> 04:23 PM) I can't f***ing believe how some of you find the time of day to come here and just rant the whole time. Go score some p**** or have a beer, RELAX. Yes this team probably won't win the division but what's the point of coming here and ragging and b**** about everyone on this team. How do you call yourself a fan? Oh look we're down by 2, yes I'm pissed at Bobby, was throwing batting practice, but come on why do inflict pain on yourself by watching these games? We have a $100 million payroll. We have every reason in the world to b**** and complain. There's a difference between a bad team and the White Sox. And I'm a fan because I follow this team through and through. But I'm also just an extremely negative person I guess. Oh well.
-
I was all excited too, that I got to get home from breakfast to watch the 9th. By the time I turned the TV on, there were 2 on. Ugh.
-
9-7. The self-destruction continues.
-
Our closer with a sparkly 6.75 ERA, and only one blown save.. that tells ya how bad we are.
-
This game just won't be complete without a classic Liney bomb here..
-
Hahahahaha. Just to add to the f***-fest that is the White Sox.
-
Man, Alex's awesome game is going to be wasted. Un-f***ing-believable. And Beckham, another atrocious, awful game from him. He definitely needs to sit. Maybe even go back to AAA. It might do him some good, because he obviously is struggling to figure it out right now.
-
Wow, what do we do with him? He has absolutely zero trade value right now. How much are we paying him to be fat?
-
No reason to leave him in with Santos sitting on the bench and not pitching yesterday.. especially with 102 pitches.
-
I disagree with Peavy being left in here, but its obvious to say that now.

QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 8, 2010 -> 08:23 PM) Well...we've batted around again. 3rd time in 3 games after not doing it all year. The weather's been warming up. /green
