  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 09:16 PM) Has Josh Fields looked better over the last week or two or not? Has Brian Anderson's swing looked significantly better this season or not? Has Getz shown improvement like he's getting over his difficulties in May as pitchers adapted to him? Has Alexei Ramirez gotten past his early season slump? Does Brian Anderson still look completely baffled when he sees a 3-2 curve? Why does every single young, unknown pitcher own us? Why do they look completely unaware with the pitchers stuff (even though most of them did the same thing, over and over)? As John Madden say, "90% of the game is half mental." Preparation is a huge part of the game, and Greg Walker fails at making sure his hitters are prepared. Now, if this isn't part of his job, then my bad.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 09:11 PM) Greg Walker had retired 3 years earlier. That must have been his fault. So if the hitting coach has nothing to do with the team's hitting.. please, explain to me why the job exists? s***s and giggles?
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 03:59 PM) Greg Walker is not very good at his job. 8 shutouts, with a handful of them coming at the Cell, is pathetic this early in the season. We've been quick to can people this year who aren't performing, and he should be next. But we all know he is not going anywhere. How long til he gets resigned to an extension (aka when is his contract up)?
  4. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 10:29 AM) Ozzie is like your neighbor's loud ass barking dog, you hear it and you're know it's there but it's making noise so often you're hardly aware of its presence sometimes. An awesome quality for a major league manager.
  5. I love how people try to defend Greg Walker. The guy is absolutely worthless, and anyone who tries to ignore this is very ignorant.
  6. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 03:20 PM) Really? 11? I thought it was 8. Well then, we've been shut out on 39.29% of our losses. EVEN MORE EPIC! Okay so I was right. 28.57%. Slightly less epic.
  7. Really? 11? I thought it was 8. Well then, we've been shut out on 39.29% of our losses. EVEN MORE EPIC!
  8. Well, at least we didn't out him them and lose. Thanks for that Octavio.
  9. Well, its painfully obvious that if you want to beat the Sox, just throw some no-name scrub out there. Guaranteed victory. The higher the ERA, the more likely he is to win.
  10. So with our current pace, are we gonna come anywhere near the MLB record for most times shutout?
  11. Did you guys see the three pitchers the Indians are throwing this weekend? Looks like some pure ownage to me.
  12. Well, if nothing else, this team continues to amaze me in the ways it can turn a good inning to an absolutely s*** one.
  13. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 02:20 PM) Just stepped away and return to see things went to heck in a hand basket Worst part is Wise is 1-1 with a HBP. Probably the first time in his career he's been on base twice in the same game.
  14. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 02:17 PM) Ballgame.............. to lose 3 of 4 at home to Oakland is horrid so much for coming home. Such is White Sox baseball. Look good for 4, suck for 5.
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 02:16 PM) time to rent GRANDMA'S BOY and just ride it out Better be careful, lions eat deer ya know.
  16. And we are back to the usual suckage. What happens if we go 3-9 on this homestand? FIRESALE!
  17. Well, I guess the reason we're getting owned by this guy is the horrible ump.. yeah.
  18. I feel bad for Buehrle. He's gonna pitch a 1-run CG and lose. Ugh.
  19. We should be OWNING this pitcher. He is trash. He has a 1.5 WHIP and strikes out no one. If we don't score 5, I'll be upset.
  20. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 01:12 PM) Thought it was next week? I really have no idea, I just figured it would be on a weekend.
