We have got some kind of explosive offense here

It seriously takes a special manager to put out a lineup with: 3 straight lefties, 3 straight righties. Regardless of who is pitching for the opposing team, what inning it is, who has success against who, etc.

How is it our manager has no problem using 11 pitchers a game, but steadfastly refuses to ever use the bench? What logic does that follow?

QUOTE(vandy125 @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 03:13 PM) Just watched it over on the DVR. It did not seem that far away. At least it didn't hit him on the head after he jumped and landed... Of course, it takes a very special talent to do that... PINCH HIT OZZIE, GOD DAMN IT!!

We may not be hitting, but at least we are playing sound defense!!

Uribe has totally forgotten proper defensive baseball ability somehow.

Damn...that was a nice play by Dye, and effortless throw to second on a line.

White Sox vs. Indians, 4/14/07 (L)
Danks did his job again, maybe we should let him hit for himself as well.

White Sox vs. Indians, 4/14/07 (L)

White Sox vs. Indians, 4/14/07 (L)
It takes a special 'talent' to K on Paul Byrd in 3 pitches...

White Sox vs. Indians, 4/14/07 (L)
Dye isn't locked in on a 3 run hit at all...

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 02:28 PM) Could you really ask for much more from a rookie 5th starter against one of the best offensive teams in the MLB? Now why cant we score a f***ing run. Heres a quick lesson. Gooch in the 2 hole-one of the best offenses in the league Erstad in the 2 hole-cant score a f***ing run. Swap them dammit!!!! Ya Rock, I just don't get it....why change what works... "But back in 2000, grindErstad was a pretty solid #2 guy!!"

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:47 PM) But its a grinder-like .194. I don't mind Erstad, there paying him next to nothing baseball money-wise. I do think Anderson could hit .194 though. I agree DA, its not that I mind grindErstad being on the team for what he makes salary-wise, but whats the point of him playing everyday, when BA could put the same numbers up, play better defense, and get the work he needs if hes ever going to develop a better approach at the plate.

HAHA, good call fathom. grindErstad 1 for his last 18, 5 K's and down to a paultry .194 BA

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:39 PM) 2 runs thru 2 isn't bad. We couldn't expect him to hold the Indians down. What's the chances of an Erstad 4-3 this inning? Chances are....better than remote!
