  1. We have to remember...there is an EXCELLENT chance that Alomar and Everett won't be around next year, so their long term "damage" to the clubhouse is minimal. I didn't want to lose Cotts, but no team is gonna give away a guy with switch-hitting power for someone like Blockhead Jimenez or Jon Rauch (who knows what his status is). I would rather have left Harris and Crash in CF, but since the move was made on good intentions for the team, I'm all for it.

  2. Seriously, EVerett has had no problems since Boston...even Mo said that Boston was a nightmare. Its amazing how we can dwell on the past concerning some players. KW is out making the moves necessary to make a run NOW, and people are upset that he is trading players that may very well NEVER see the big leagues. But when he doesnt do anything to improve the team, people b**** and moan about him standing pat......Sounds like Damned if he does, damned if he don't

  3. "Braves' starting pitcher Paul Byrd will undergo Tommy John surgery Tuesday and be sidelined at least 12 months, probably longer. This will be his second elbow surgery of the season. Byrd went under the knife back on April 11 to have a bone spur removed from the back of his right elbow."

I know it seemed like KW and other Sox brass were looking at him, and I hate to see it happen, but we did the right thing on Byrd.

  4. Garland has looked pretty good actually. Only 2 hits allowed in 5 IP, both infield singles. The Twins announcers said that coming into this game, Garland over his last 8 games is 3-3, with a 3.38 ERA....He is getting his stuff together apparently, and that makes 3.5 good starters right now (Colon, he is hurting...needs an arm break)

  5. NOt sure if what DJ brings to the plate could be considered "superior offense". Heres Alomar and Jimenez' stats so far this year:

G AB R 2B 3B HR RBI SB BB AVG SLG

    Alomar, Roberto (2B-NYM) 72 259 33 17 1 2 22 6 29 .263 .359

    Jimenez, D'Angelo (2B, 3B-CWS) 73 271 35 11 5 7 26 4 32 .255 .410

Except for the adavantage of 5 HRs, there is not much difference, and I KNOW that Alomar plays a better second base,

  6. How in the hell can you all blame Koch for this? What about Assclown Gordon not getting anyone out, and Manuel letting him stay in there to do that damage? Koch gives up a single, in 1 IP and a K. Thats what closers do. Everyone seems to want to lay everything at Koch's feet, sorry folks....not his fault.

  7. In all fairness to Koch (we all knew he has a propensity for the long ball), the game shoulda been over in the 9th. f***chop Jimenez, I'd be happy to never see him in the starting lineup, wait...on the White Sox roster EVER again. Definition of a complete Blockhead. Where does KW find these "great finds"?

  8. No one wants Jimenez, hence the reason we end up with this retread blockhead. WE have got LOADS of no common sense players on this team. DJ said it best...these arent rocket hits, these are hits you should be able to advance on. 3 straight hits, and you cant get a run?? WTF?
