  1. sure, he could miss a 20 yard chip shot too I guess you'd need to dive down into win probabilities to see the risk/reward of getting say 3 yards closer and centering the ball (or putting it exactly wherever the kicker wants it) vs. the chance of losing yards or even a fumble. still don't think the kneel-down is the right call or defensible though but also, they lost because their kicker missed two FG's including one as time expired
  2. 4 yards closer and the late hook on the kick means it's still good
  3. anyway hopefully Mitch will server as a lesson for scouts in the future that "well we only have 13 college games to judge him by, lots of raw potential!!!" is actually a gigantic red flag and you shouldn't draft someone who's barely played outside of high school, let alone trade up for him!
  4. 36-38 and centered vs 41 off-center when your kicker already missed from 35
  5. prediction: Nagy and Trubisky reached the peaks of their careers with a one-and-done playoff appearance last year
  6. No but that's what his kneel down play calling shouted extremely loudly
  7. "42 yard field goals are basically automatic" -head coach of team that missed a 35 yard field goal earlier that game
  8. Yards that drive: 7,55,1,1,5,0,1, 0(incomplete), 0, 0(spike)
  9. Lmao barely got the FG play in Five red zone trips 9 points
  10. when you look at the shot at the end, it looks like the right call would have been hand off to Montgomery who had a hole for at least a couple yards. Not a great play or anything, but certainly better than a big sack
  11. There were a lot of draft boards that were split on either Watson or Trubisky as the top QB, but Mahomes was always seen as the more risky pick than either of those two. I'll never understand what so many scouts thought they saw in a guy who only ever played a handful of college games, though.
  12. I wonder if there's underlying biases that play into scouts' evaluation of QB's still. What did these guys really see in a guy who couldn't win the starting job at UNC that made him as good or better a prospect as Mahomes or Watson?
  13. Lol at how absolutely terrible Trubisky is
  14. One of these decades the bears will have a competent offense
  15. Defense looking good so far at least
  16. Oh absolutely a smart play The saints player was unblocked
  17. Lol at how rigged this game was with those two phantom hands to the face calls, the second when the DE was getting facemasked
  18. What the heck happened to Goff and that offense
