  1. Blind man arrested after driving golf cart advertisement Associated Press Jun. 16, 2004 08:13 AM PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. - A blind man was charged with reckless conduct after he drove a golf cart through the city with help from an inebriated friend. Samuel McClain, 35, drove two miles through winding streets - also accompanied by his guide dog - before running into a parked car, police said. No one was hurt, but McClain and Michael Johnston, 47, were charged with reckless conduct "due to the blatant disregard for public safety," according to police reports. The report said McClain drove the cart Saturday while Johnston gave directions after having six or seven beers. Peachtree City, about 25 miles south of Atlanta, has about 80 miles of paved cart paths and 9,000 registered carts that residents use for daily errands.
  2. Man arrested after bathing in car wash Canadian Press Jun. 2, 2004 05:26 PM WOODSTOCK, Ont. - A 39-year-old man was arrested after stripping off his clothes and entering a car wash for an impromptu shower. Police say a cab stopped to fill up at a gas station about 10 p.m. Tuesday when the unidentified passenger from Thamesford, Ont., got out and decided to have a wash before going home. Police found the man naked and intoxicated. He has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
  3. That would be Christmas in June if they signed him.
  4. in case you missed it http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/story/7384289
  5. Eck & Fingers are the best, along w/Hoffman. The best Sox closer had to have been Thigpen.
  6. thanks to those of you in my defense. It's not everday I can log on.
  7. notice how there is no mention of last weeks murder. http://www.spankwad.com/northvssouth.html
  8. wow, 2k, you were right, this is awfully disturbing. http://www.ktvu.com/sports/3259475/detail.html
  9. That was Marty McSorley, who put the hit (or swing) on Brashear in Vancouver.
  10. This is what happens when the one Wrigleyville homo runs into his old boyfriend from Boystown outside Wrigley. I am suprised this hasn't happened more often.
  11. Hawks suck, and Sutter sucks. No one believes in his coaching anymore, and Bill Wirtz is still (as always) the biggest prick to own a professional franchise. It doesn't matter anyway who they hire, there will be no season next year anyway.
  12. I became a Sox fan b/c I grew up on the far southwest side, and my father always took myself and my brothers to games at the old Comiskey. I must say, I do like Boston as well, since the 86' World Series, and I have always followed Milwaukee.
  13. Thank you Texsox, I appreciate your kind words. Nuke, you are coming back? That sucks. I know some guys that were w/the 3rd ID and are already back. They PCS'd out of GA to Germany, got about 4 months in Germany before deploying. I feel for guys that have to come back. The 3rd ID did a great job when they were here, my hat goes off to you boys.
  14. It is truly sad to see that Tillman was killed. I had the privlidge of watching Pat play in college as we both graduated from ASU, and I held season tickets. I actually had a class with him back in '95. It was amazing to see that he gave up his job w/the Cardinals and turned down a 3 yr 9 million dollar deal w/the Rams to join the Amry after 9/11. He was an inspiration, as I did the same, joining the military after the attacks. It is very sad to see that he passed on.
  15. Thank you all very much for your kind words.
  16. If it was me, I wouldn't mind my picture being public record. As for my family, I don't think they would mind either.
  17. PA, 2K, Nuke, I wish I was home in the States, but I am still here. I have only been here for 2 1/2 months, and from what I hear we have already been extended antother 3 months, so that makes it a year and 3 months I will be here. It really isn't all that bad, at least where I am at. I'm at Warhorse, outside Baquaba. It sucks, but I can't complain too much, since my duties keep me on the post, I don't go outside the gates. We get mortared every other day or so, and it can get a little unnerving, but it isn't too bad.
  18. and life is not all that bad here in Iraq, I'm still alive. PA and Ugly, are you guys still planning on running for Pres and VP this year? If so, I am going to need more than one absentee ballot. As the great Richard J. Daley said, "vote early and vote often." I'm going to have to get on the board more often. I won't be catching any games for a long time, and you can only read the paper so often before that loses your interest. I need some real biased opionions, so I hope to be around more. See you soon.
  19. wow, sorry about that.....damn assumptions.

  21. Alex, Thank you very much, I can't tell you how much I appreciate that and the kind words from everyone else on the board. I hope to be on more frequently before I roll out of here. I hope your buddy gets his chance to get out of there and get home soon.
  22. thanks Fanof14, I appreciate it. Southsider, no chance I can make soxfest, bro. I am stationed here in Germany, taking off for the desert in about 2 weeks. I wish I could be there, it should be cool.
