you can always re-evaluate after three years. You will most definately fill the park, I suspect 2.2-2.5 million fans. You would be in the playoffs and with that staff probably the world series. You will have superstars, fans, media, everything. Even if you took Koskie out of the mix and kept crede, you could still make a huge splash. All I am saying is make the splash. that is what will get people to the games. It will get media intot he sox corner, it will get other players wanting to come here. It will create a buzz in this town.

Got that punch ,but here is my thought, you will get Johnson for two years tops, Nomar for three years tops, you will lose everett next year, that frees up money as well. main issue, we may have to bite the bullett for two years tops. After two years Johnson is off the books and possibly nomar. The buzz will be great and whitesox baseball back on.

What if we signed; Nomar pavanno Randy johnson koskie acquired Chacon from Colorado gave up Garland, Konerko, crede, and whatever minor leauger. Do you think we would get fans to the park? Superstars plus Pitching. You see I think we would, but the sox won't for one minute take that chance, not even for one year. What if we would have picked up Irod last year. he is a superstar coming from a world series team making ten million. You see I think we would have the town with those guys on the team. We would be the buzz. But the sox don't act like that, not for one minute. so we get waht we get and we get third place.

qwerty point is there are many free agents out there that have players that would come to chicago, one of the greatest cities in the world, if we offered them money. Fans will come out for three reasons: 1) ballpark is fun and safe. 2) Superstars are playing. 3) Team is playoff bound and in the hunt. thats it. thats how you get fans.

Would they go if barry Bonds was on the team? Would they have gone if Sosa was on the team when he was hitting all those juiced home runs. Did they go in 93? Would they go Jeter or rodrigez was on the team?

No cheat, but please indicate what you think we will get in return. Jaded probably, wise, probably. I think the sox are cheap, and we get what we get. We will be close every year, and if all the pieces fall, nobody gets hurt and a couple of calls go our way we might win a division every 5 years. Not good enough for me'

We have some good pieces but not a good team. We have a couple of good players but not players that play well together. My god, we are in chicago, We should easilty have an 80 million dollar payroll. Easlily, and we should be dominating this divsision which will only get harder. Tigers are spending, Cleveland is playing agressive, with the team we have CURRENTLY and without any major changes, we will battle for third place. I am hemmorraging.

your entitled to your opinion, first, Gload is slow and is a career minor leaguer, on my playoff team in the third largest market in the US I would like a better first baseman. I would not want glaod coming up in the ninth inning of a playoff game and relying on him to drive in the run. There is a reason why he is in his thirties and never made it. Diaz has one pitch and thats not that great. I am certian there are other players we can find that can pitch the same. I don't want him. Don't like him. These are just my thoughts this team is going NOWHERE fast. Spend money or back up the truck.

Well let me be selfish like our owner. 1) I want konerko off the team 2) Willie harris off the team 3) Gload off the team 4) Uribe can stay and play a utility role or spot start at second. 5) crede can stay for one more year, well maybe a half a year. 6) Get another starter( I like Lieber or clement among others) 7) Get another relief pitcher cause Politte chokes on his jock when the pressure is on. Oh by the way you can get rid of politte too. 8) Diaz Blows - I know everyone thinks he has potential just like barcelo. But he sucks 9) Borchard sucks- its too bad i will have to watch this nut case swing away. 10) garland is a chick- Trade his ass while you are at it. 11) Re-vamp the farm system. Get some pitching coaches that won't let our pitchers arms fall off. 12) Danny Wright- Please take him and his broken arm and his 5 inning ptiching and 500 record and drop his ass. 13) Drop half price drunk night 14) Cater to Season ticket holders better. 15)Hire Steve stone cause Darrin Jackson is horrible. 16) Get Harold Baines off the bench coach seat there I ranted. Well i certianly understand your point, but that leaves two open positions if you use konerko in a trade. I would rather play Koskie at first than that piece of s*** Ross Gload. That I suppose is my point. Just looking at it as a way to get a decent line drive hitter who bats from the left side into the equation. Can you imagine us trying to contend with and infield of crede, uribe, harris and Gload. It makes me puke.
