Thanks for the input. Are we out of it yet. Can we just get a guy that can hit singles? Willie harris equals Craig Grebeck with no power.
-
nope you need a bat at the top of the lineup
-
Like I always said to you beastly these minor leagers have a 50% chance of making it. Borchard will always struggle because he can't cut down the swing. Now we will have a hard time trading him. He is simply not what he was suppose to be. We dearly miss Maggs and Thomas in the lineup. We will not resign Loizia. He throws way too many home run balls. This series was very dissapointing, too bad people are showing up too!!!

seattle newspapers claimed that Seattle was going to trade him for JT Snow. Why, I have no clue

fine no problem, although I posted my response before your second one hit. I never saw your second one before I posted the first. So consider yourself off the hook, even though none of what you originally said even came close to being the truth. We do not have a client that I know of that is a boras client. JR won't allow it, and Boras won't allow it, unless the player is already under contract. We won't even draft one.

saw the email, hey remember about three weeks ago when i told you that the Sox are going to get Everett. You watch...

Yea I know, vacation is coming soon. You will miss me.

he has a three million dollar contract this year and a 4 million dollar contract next year. He is cheap. In addition I think he would be a good insurance policy next year if we lose Mags. I am not saying he is as good or even close to Mags. I just think he would be a good pickup.

I completely agree Tony. I would actually shoot for Everett anyway. Everyone here complains at what we give up for people. Beltran would cost us alot. Everett on the other hand, is cheap and would cost us Middle to lower prospects. He wants out of Montreal and back in the race and the A league. He was a good player for us, and will DH. Its a good cheap but effective move. I also think, he might be part of a package that may bring us another pitcher. Personally I think Beltran is out of the picture.

Guys, As many as you know Mark Prior just left the game with another injury. Steve Stone thought it might be a re- injury of the achillies. Just a thought if he is injured for a while, this may push the Cubs to get Randy Johnson. Which I won't like!

(Nothing is carved in stone. Shingo and Crede are represented by Boras. I know there are extenuating circumstances involved with each, but they did "negotiate" with Boras to sign Shingo. Things have a way of changing. ) This is what you said and this is what I responded too. I think in this thread you said they did negotitate with Boras. If your covereing yourself with the statement Nothing carved in stone, then consider yourself covered but Shingo did not sign wiht boras. As I know right now we do not have a client that signed with boras.

Yea not too many monday games at all.

How about win. As you can tell from this year, when fans think you have a good team they come out to the park. Win and sign a marguee player. Lets see how htat works.

He said he loves ND!!!!!!!!!!!

You see the whitesox are will tell us the season ticket holders don't like it. With this plan, (Above the Poles) it eliminates the season ticket holder excuse. Just trying to please all!

totally agree, abandon the whole thing. sounds good to me.

Tony, go in with two other people and split the season. Its agreat way. I buy the whole season but only go between 30-40 games. I line up others prior to writing the check. I have another that likes to buy 30 and I find others for the ten. Its a great way to go. When playoff times comes you can go together or split those as well.

completely agree

Please understand that the whitesox site the season ticket holders are the main reason for the elimination. I added that I had discussions with my ticket agent about the other stuff. The sox will simply say they need to consider the season ticket holder, which is the right thing to do. Ok here is just a thought: The Sox rarely sell out the upper deck, although I believe they attendance is getting better. Why not just make all tickets above the Poles $6 all the time, except those dates deemed premium ( Cubs, Yanks, Redsox). This gets people to the park any night and they stay above the poles so it would not effect the season ticket holders. Ok on a positive note they said they are looking into having Friday and Saturday Firework nights, which seem to bring in more families and large crowds.

Listening to ESPN now Brooks Boyer who I think is doing a great job just mentioned they are looking strongly at eliminating half price Tuesdays next year. Mondays will stay. He sites that Season ticekt holders (like myself) have called in a complained about the half price night. He said, that the Season Ticket holders complained they paid full price and many times they sit next to somebody that pays half price. I personally think its more than that, as I think Seson ticket holders also do not like the atmosphere Tuesdays project. I have called my rep and she claims she has received calls simular to mine. I realize many of you like this night but I can't stand it. I am thrilled the Sox are catering a little more to those who write big checks to them. Sorry to those who disagree.

Shingo's agent is Joe Urban I will look for crede's I don't think its boras.

serious Yas, is this right? I didn't think this was the case. I will be honest I did not think Crede signed with boras.

Final thoughts... I hope Jim and I took alot of abuse understandably both on this board and the other board. We knew when posting we would have some people not like what we had to offer. That is still the case with many here. I am personally questioned from many on this board (the only board that matters) about my maturity level, age and wisdom. I am a big boy and so is Jim. We can deal with that. I wish we could have handled this in a more controlled environment, but that seemed hard to do. We simply could not get NCorg to meet with us. I am happy Jim posted and explained more thoroughly. I remain convinced of the following: 1) NCORG is not an investor. This quite frankly is not up for debate from my end. 2) That NCORG was knocked down a peg or two and may just rethink how he responds to people. Of course Jim and I remain vulnerable to a lower peg as well. 3) HSC hit way below the belt by attacking Steff. I feel bad on this one. Now many understand the type of person she is as well. 4) That the Whitesox monitor and look at the boards. (I think that is great) Gives them an idea of what the fans are thinking. Maybe they browse here as well. 5) That Jim and I remain unconvincing to many here. Again I respect that opinion as well. 6) That there are many people here who have tight ties to others. I think that is great, this board and this thread is like a family, it brought folks together tore them apart and then back together again. Hate too sound soft here! 7) even though this thread came to this board, we kept it of the main threads. I am sure there is more but I am tired. I wish everyone a happy summer filled with Sox wins. Vacation time for me.
