as far as rogowski what I said was my father in law was watching him in the AZ league. He said he looked good was a big guy and hit the ball well. That's it. so what. He will never make it. Sweeney looked good, that's nice, he will either be traded, injured, trip over his own shoe laces. The point is as a system they are compeltely average and will continue to be that way as long as they remain a team in the middle. hard to devleop your pitchers when they are all getting surgery. You can beleive in somethign for ten years but it takes me to get it out of you. By the way other than the top three guys why should I follow our s***ty minor league system. The playrs will either be traded, dropped, quit, or there arms will fall off. Our minor league system is completely average and getting worse. That is all I need to know. I don't fall in love with 19 year old kids in single A ball. That is just plain stupid.

Actaully it tells me that the sox may have talked about those players and even offered them but RJ doesn't want to play here. It really doesn't matter what we offered them if RJ nixes it...its done.

That board is very interesting. The board changes. For instance if we trade a guy then he wasn't on the board. Since nobody has actually seen this board its hard to detrmine who the hell is on it. Furthermore after every draft the board changes. I would Suppose that Josh fields is on the board. That probably means someone got dropped from the board. Until that stupid board is printed somewhere, the Sox will continue to play games with the media and fans.

Jim, Although I agree I think we need to address this position, I will also state it is last priority right now. I think another starter, reliever, SS take the priority. I also know its a key position but I remember 2000, when we were winning the division then traded for Charles Johnson. I just beleive we need other players first rather than making catcher the priority.

Sometimes I think KW shoots himself in the foot. He talks about getting a number starters and moving everyone else down. Argueably there is a handfull of those available. He should jsut shut up and say we want to solve our number five spot. That way if he gets a number 1 via trade or free agent everyone would be happy. if he gets a five then everyone would be happy. This club always boxes themselves in a corner.

I guess you and most others forgot he had a no trade clause. you see This was not KW fault. (Beastly) Kendall wanted the West Coast. Although I admit I am currently not Bullish on this year, I will also indicate that the free agency and trade market won't hit until mid December. By now we should all know this. Furthermore, we will make several moves my hope is they are the right ones.

Jim, Competitive or not AZ will be cutting payroll for the next two years. Too me thats rebuilding. They owe a ton of cash and need to cut payroll over the next two years. they are totally rebuilding. That's why new management. Hillenbrand will also leave soon. We will argue this and I hope konerko does leave. You maybe right but it just doesn't seem to fit. I would never build around Konerko, but stranger things have happened. They are a complexed group over there. They don't know whether they are coming or going. If I were general manager I would bite the bullet for two years, stack up on potential major league players and rebuild the fanbase around those guys. I would not take konerko for one year in a Randy Johnson trade but would ask for garland and 2 top prospects. In fact anything less then 3 young and upcoming players would be unacceptable. i would then trade Hillenbrand and receive another prospect. Then I would wait and let the free agent folks sift through the players and pick up a few veterans that are left and sign them to one year cheap deals, to fill a few holes. But I am just a slug trying to convince another slug about baseball matters.
