I am fine with that, but I think the sox mis judge the market and will get stuck without some players. I have been consistant , I ahte konerko but we do need some Long balls going out. AJ is fine, this should be done with or without konerko.

Yea he said, since they are already doing it, why don't you just go for it. remember konerko is in his final year, we could lose him next year or he could command 10 million. I agree, this really doesn't make a lot of sense unless other things are lined up. Its just dumb. We are stupid many times, as Money drives most of our decisions, but really this isn't even baseball worthy. My personal opinion even though I can't stand Willie harris, Ross gload or konerko, would be to keep these guys add AJ a fifth starter and a utility infielder and call it a day. The only other thign I cna think of is they want to get rid of Konerko in a contract year knowing they don't want to pay him more next year.
