What speculation about Stone? I have seen nothing in the papers recently. i remember when he first left the cubs months ago that he flatly denied he would take DJ's job. Please enlighten me on this speculation. Is he even going to Soxfest? has he been invited?

If they don't they could try for cora and another player not in our system. Is Rich Aurilla still available? I know we hate this idea, but he plays ss and third. Any more names to throw out?

Ok Bruce Levine is on right now. The update on Ignuchi is this: 1) The numbers in the papers are wrong. He started out wanting 3 years 21 million. then backed down to 3 years 15 million. thats where it is now. The sox want him only for 2 years and offered him 2 years 4 million. Levine said they are willing to negotiate and said the Sox will probably go as high as 3 million per but no third year.
