If a ptc doesn't play (not just doesn't start, he may pitch run/hit) does it count as a pick for the 2 picks rule? I know I have until the first pitch to change but that isn't always possible. Also can we pick by position? For example taking whoever is DH or Catching, etc.

Excuse me but I thought we had a great 1-2 solid 3-4 and who cares really about the 5th starter. The pitching isn't any better than I thought way back when. The positive difference is E-LO the negative is Buerle. I think it (the pitching) just looks better standing next to our pathetic, anemic, offense.

Yes, there is a difference and that is why IMHO the mlb policy doesn't pass the common sense test when you hire from within. Why parade around someone for the sake of looks and then hire the white guy? I hate hollow gestures. The Marlins where suppose to find a couple of minorities, bring them in, then promote their guy. How does that help the guys that get the sham interview? In fact it hurts the guy because later when a position does come up that they really have a chance at people start thinking this guy has interviewed for 4 Managerial jobs and never got one, I wonder what's wrong with him? Hire the best guy for the job, period.

Was there a little throwing at batters in the later innings? I was "watching" on gameday and it looked like Kock and Marte both were working "way inside" on a couple of batters. I was questioning pulling him after a strike out. I'm starting to feel a bit more relaxed when I see Koch coming in.
