  1. Wahoo. Go Eagles. Good day for me. Bears should trounce the Seahawks.
  2. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Dec 31, 2006 -> 06:41 PM) no yueng? Lager is good for football games and wings, not necessarily for celebrating in a new year with family. And yes, I wish I was having Yuengling. Black and Tan is my drink of choise.
  3. Wine. I like to keep it classy.
  4. Eve that is. Hope you all get whatever you need.
  5. QUOTE(RX Bandits @ Dec 23, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) whats not to say they can't do the same for the players they have recieved in the last 2 big trades? Because Floyd is hopeless.
  6. QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Dec 23, 2006 -> 04:19 PM) People! Gavin Floyd sucks! He will be out of this league in 2 years, book it! He is not the present nor is he ever going to be the future. I've seen him pitch for years and doesn't even deserve a shot in our bullpen. Agree 100%. This guy had his chance and he dropped the ball.
  7. QUOTE(bigruss22 @ Dec 23, 2006 -> 04:06 PM) 2009 rotation Danks Floyd Gonzalez Broadway Haeger (Not Necessarily in that order) Floyd does not deserve a rotation spot at this point in his carear. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Dec 23, 2006 -> 04:06 PM) Since when is Garland due a big pay day? We owe him $22 million over the next two seasons. After those two seasons?
  8. This is terrible. McCarthy could very well be an excellent pitcher in a few short seasons. Garland is due a big payday and most likely won't be around for much longer but McCarthy could have been a staple for a long time. If they keep trading for the future, there won't be any future to wait for.
  9. Looks good to me. I'll watch, after I see Rocky Balbowa
  10. Time signatures are simple, unless you really want to get into it. Here's a crash course. Almost all songs on the radio are in 4/4 time. That's 4 beats in a mearure (4)/4 and a quarter note gets one beat 4/(4). A waltz is in 3/4. Thats 3 notes in a masure (3)/4 and a quarter note gets one beat 3/(4) An example of this would be Billy Joel's Piano Man 2/4 is basically when it is a slow 4/4 song and it doesn't make sense to conduct it in 4/4. Those are your 3 basic time signatures.
  11. I'm a music major so I appreciate all kinds of music. Now, appreciate is different than enjoy. I hate country music. I hate it because there are two different kinds of songs for country music: fast with lots of guitar, and slow with lots of sappy lyrics. You can put any country song in that catagory. I just can't seem to find any country song that I enjoy. My favorite kind of music depends on the situation. I like Hip Hop & R&B during a party, classic rock when I'm driving, and classical (yes, instrumentals) when I'm just chillin by myself. Music is good.
  12. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 11:10 AM) Kutztown University, per chance? Wow. How did you figure that out?
  13. 30 minutes till my last final of the fall 06 semester. Properties of Sound, which is going to be a b****...
  14. QUOTE(StatManDu @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 07:26 PM) THEY WERE WITH THE SOX? Freddie Mitchell: The White Sox 50th round pick (and last) in the 2000 draft as an outfielder out of UCLA. … Did not sign. … Philadelphia Eagles' first round pick out of UCLA in 2001 … Colorful and controversial receiver caught 90 passes for 1,263 yards (14.0 average) and five touchdowns for the Eagles from 2001 to 2005. … He is best known to Green Bay Packer fans as the receiver who made a 28-yard reception for the Eagles' on 4th-and-26 in a 2003 playoff game. The first down was key in the Eagles' comeback victory – one of the more crushing defeats in Packer history. What a waste... Then the superbowl year, he said to the Patriot's DB's "I got somethin for ya." What a DB
  15. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 01:16 AM) Two rookies in the outfield in a year in which you are looking to contend is bad, and there's no other way around it. What if they are two rookies who hit .290+ and consistantly make plays in the field? If you never take the risk, you never know what they can do for you.
  16. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 9, 2006 -> 06:37 PM) 2008 Standings 1.Twins 2.Indians 3.Tigers 4.Royals 5.White Sox You expect 2 rookies on the corners and Anderson in his 3rd year being the vet in the OF? Not a chance. But if it works, the outfield will be solid for the nexy 6-7 years. There is nothing wrong with starting youth in the field, you just have to know when to pull them.
  17. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Dec 9, 2006 -> 06:22 PM) However, we do need one more veteran arm down there in the pen... whose out there?!? Foulke Hermanson Riske Percival Romero Karsay Guardado
  18. There are two days I look forward to each and every year. Opening Day and the day Blue Mountian in PA opens. Today was the day for Blue and I took full advantage. I snowboarded down that hill at least 30 times (It's a small hill without all the trails up and running) and it was just a good day. I hit the snow a few times getting my legs back under me but by the end of the day, I was looking like the flyin tomato. Happy Snow Season Everyone
  19. QUOTE(bkmoney @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 12:55 AM) this is probably where it started going downhill "Highlights of his rookie year included an impressive 166 innings pitched, 3 complete games, a 2.77 ERA, and a no-hitter. In that game, a walk and an error led to an unearned run, and a 1-0 loss for Floyd. " ouch Floyd never threw a No Hitter EDIT: Wait, he did, but it was with AA Reading. He walked the leadoff man, he stole second, sac fly to center, and a throwing error by the 3rd baseman.
  20. QUOTE(Pods20 @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 10:16 AM) We aren't going to pay him what he will be asking for. It's the market this year. Each pitcher is worth 3 mil more per year this year than it was last year.
  21. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 10:12 AM) And please edit your sig. Or I am going to start calling the Phillies the Phlliies Oops. I'll get right on that.
  22. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 10:10 AM) And I'm saying that whatever caused things to turn south, Foulke did not falter due to pressure. Ok. So would you want him in the pen if he is healthy, now that we've determined thats why he went down hill?
  23. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 10:07 AM) He signed a big dollar multiyear free agent contract and came to Boston and performed as a closer for a WS championship team. Sorry, but it's not a lack intestinal fortitude. I'm saying when everything was going good, he had no problems. But when things turned south, he started to break down.
  24. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 8, 2006 -> 09:58 AM) Yes, but your post implied he couldn't handle the pressure at Fenway when he has in fact proven he can ... during a World Series yet. His problems haven't been due to pressure. I believe he was under minimal pressure for his position that first year in 04, but once things started to unravel a little for him, he started feeling it from the fans, front office, teamates... whatever the case. If he leaves and starts over, he might become that dominate pitcher he once was.
