  1. $5.5 million. Burger can't lay off the high fastball today.
  2. Burger is at least playing an adequate third and holding his own for someone basically in indie ball just a couple of years ago.
  3. 0/6 with RISP. Anderson leading the entire majors with a .322 average since the beginning of the 2019 season.
  4. No walks when Pivetta leading the world in them. Engel just not an everyday player.
  5. Nobody except for minor league diehards expected much of anything out of him or Banks. Persistence paid off.
  6. Meanwhile, Luis Gonzalez has been a useful at least replacement level RFer for the Giants this season.
  7. Yermin just might be the spark again, lol. Carlos Perez. Someone. Anyone but Rutherford. They can't keep sending McGuire out there to protect Grandal when both of them suck.
  8. Have to drive that ball to RF, Luis. Season high in K's already.
  9. Pollock is going to have to play everyday because of Vaughn and Sheets being so bad in the OF. Jimenez whenever he returns, sure...the only other alternative is benching him for Leury.
  10. Excellent work getting out of it against two of their best hitters.
  11. Can't burn the pen so early every single game. And he's the best pitcher on the team.
  12. Going from what looked like it should be a 2-0 series lead to likely leaving Boston 1-2. Sigh. And the A's have only lost eight in a row.
  13. This is almost more boring than Twins/A's except for Cease. That said, Parkman's guy Duran threw a 97 mph forkball today. That used to be the speed of a Contreras fastball.
  14. Yet he could cost the White Sox $15 million next season... $11-13 million looks more likely right now. 2023 Option escalates $1M each for 400,450,500,550,600 Plate Appearances in 2022
  15. "The Dodgers signed Pollock to a four-year, $55 million contract that included a player option for 2023. Pollock's deal also had an opt-out clause after the 2021 season, but he fell 11 plate appearances short of being able to exercise it. Over three seasons with the Dodgers, Pollock hit..." 11 PA's and we wouldn't have Pollock now. Or he would be another team's problem in FA. Dodgers got stuck with him but found a taker/sucker.
  16. Well, Eaton and Quentin were originally Dbacks and the only two NL guys who really succeeded in Chicago...why not another? He's more like Alex Cintron right now.
  17. And the Dodgers of course with Kimbrel. If he was a stock picker, you would just execute the opposite of whatever his advice was...
  18. Ummm...I never believed that crap. It was always wishful thinking. Nor was I elated when Pollock was announced...because he is definitely not a RFer. Pollock is absolutely killing the Sox right now.
  19. Would be nice if Engel could accidentally run into one. Or Leury could take second when he had a free double.
