  1. I'd be surprised if our hitters see anything more than 20% fastballs tonight I hope to god they're prepared to look for breaking balls
  2. Be loud guys, make this a true homefield advantage for our sox
  3. QUOTE (PlunketChris @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 04:38 PM) The Sox have the most pessimistic fans of all time.. c'mon.. that could be on this board and it'd be similar percentages. It's not "Who do you think will win" It's "Who are you rooting for", it has nothing to do with pessimism
  4. Look at the percentage for IL compared to MIN http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/fp/flashPol...mp;pollId=61106 Is this just a bi-product of cub fans voting for the twins?
  5. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 04:05 PM) please please post the audio from that call. I can't find it anywhere. farmer_stone_alexei_slam.mp3
  6. Does thome add anything to this lineup, at least tonight? I know blackburn is right-handed, but so is Freddy Garcia Also, that hit by Griffey against that tough lefty yesterday was awesome, i think it was in his first or second AB
  7. Called into work, they know i'm the most hardcore sox fan pretty much in this whole area that's polluted with cub fans (central illinois area), and my boss sympathized with my desire to watch the win-or-go home game rock on
  8. i'm working on a slightly higher resolution version of that, sync'd with the farmer/stone broadcast i gotta find a different version of virtual dub
  9. Dotel: I'm going to bring everything I have, I'm going to pitch like it's the last game of the world series nice
  10. QUOTE (longshot7 @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 03:19 PM) Kruk & Gammons picked the Sox last night on Sportscenter. Buster Olney picked the twins
  11. I hope Cooper, AJ, and Danks have a gameplan for tonight, because if they approach the twins the same exact way they have the last two years with John, he's going to get hammered unless the twins come in here flat
  12. wish i lived closer to chicago, the trip there and back is expensive as hell with gas prices, plus i almost fall asleep night-driving and i don't feel like paying for a hotel for those who can go, when the twins are on defense, i hope you're as loud as humanly possible... f*** the twins go sox
  13. QUOTE (joejoedairy @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 12:32 AM) I think he said to start Clayton in game one of the playoffs if we make it so the other pitchers can get some rest. We can't throw him tomorrow because you can't save pitchers for playoffs that might not happen. Also Hawk seemed to be under the impression that our first playoff game would be wednesday but it would be thursday if we get there so that might change things. psyched for the black out tonight btw love the avatar and hence I'm stealing it also from the dry erase board in the sox clubhouse: "[Forget] feelings -- it's about winning." I meant playoffs, not tomorrow my post should make more sense now lol
  14. I love Hawk's "I know who I'd start tomorrow: Clayton Richard" I agree with him I think he's more/less over the hump, the way he pitched against NYY and CLE, and the fact that he's a left-handed pitcher facing a heavily loaded left-handed lineup This keeps all of our pitchers rested I hope Ozzie makes this decision but I know he won't
  15. I will try to make a .wav of the recording, perhaps if I get really creative I'll try to sync it to the video, though mlb.com has made it more difficult to download the game broadcasts QUOTE (wilmot825 @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 10:17 PM) I heard Farmer go nuts when "The Missile" launched one DEEEEP into the night. I want to know if anyone has that and can post it to hear again? it was definitely the best one I've heard him do, "OH MY GOD" it was beautiful
  16. If we win tomorrow and Jim goes 0-4 again, I'm gonna be disgusted with him, even more than I already am anyway, good luck guys, let's get a White Sox Winner tonight
  17. corks popping in minnesota, I can hear them from here
  18. it wouldn't be a white sox choke without a wild throw to first base chalk it up to youth in a big-game, that's all you can say 2-1 tigers
  19. tigers sitting on gavin's slider/curve, they know he cant locate his fastball
  20. one thing we can say, gavin's slider is nice today
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 04:33 PM) Pitching Floyd in the 6th would be a huge mistake. Let him go batter to batter, if he can't get magglio, get dotel to face Cabrera
  22. i can't believe what i'm seeing, even though it's so predictable you'd think our hitters would show up for the most important game of the year just wow, heads are gonna roll if this one ends badly, you can put that on the board
  23. You have to make pitchers get the ball up, it's hard to hit linedrives when they're low low strikes, unless you alter your swing 2 outs, so frustrating
