  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 03:54 PM) No triple plays here. lmao
  2. haha, as i say that, thome leads off with a double like i said earlier, our hitters are going to get the timing down on his fastball
  3. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 03:45 PM) For someone that didn't want to talk about anything but getting a shot in the post season once more, Jim Thome = monumental disappointment in this ALDS. our shot with thome was in 2006
  4. Garza might be finding himself in a predicament here soon, he can continue to throw fastballs but that might give our offense the ability to get their timing down, or he can throw more sliders but our guys seem to be able to handle that pitch (AJ's RBI single was on a slider)
  5. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 03:34 PM) AJ with a big hit. How did we score that run? Getting on base and speed. WE NEED MORE of that. the homerun approach NEVER EVER works in the playoffs we need more balance in our lineup for sure yes i'm aware the phillies won against the brewers with homeruns today, but they do all of the other things right when facing a pitcher that they can't square up
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 03:32 PM) Even if he was, he wouldn't be able to steal off Navarro. Garza seems quick to the plate as well. You're so right.
  7. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 03:31 PM) Harold: Wise is not a speedster. Ozzie: BULL****
  8. 2 down after the leadoff walk, we have no chance with this stupidass lineup
  9. uribe needs to bunt here, though 96mph fastball bunting might be hard
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 03:20 PM) Greg Walker is a bad hitting coach...not more needs to be said. everything I've heard walker say, leads me to believe he's afraid to offer criticism to our veteran hitters
  11. Wise/Uribe/Cabrera my prediction: wise K, uribe K, OC grounds out on the third pitch
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 03:16 PM) Two things that stand out so far about our hitting this series: - way too many hitters are out in front of good pitches, and are hitting meatballs foul - too many strikes taken while swinging at balls and what that means is: Tampa Bay advanced scouting trumps ours which seems to be non-existant
  13. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 03:11 PM) We'll probably get no-hit to end our season. thank god that can't happen now
  14. Garza painting the corners with 96-97mph, i just don't think our hitters are going to have a very good game and danks never gets any f***ing run support anyways
  15. wild pitch/deflection, runners advance does anyone here seriously think we have a chance to win this game?
  16. i'd like to see our scouting overhauled in the offseason, the way we pitch to certain hitters is just appalling, hence why we've seen so many guys this year get their first major league HR, etc.
