  1. 3 runs won't beat the tribe, you can put that on the board
  2. I wish mark would just try to get the ball over the plate
  3. If Mark doesn't retire hafner, there's no excuse for it
  4. Blown call after blown call after blown call, ALL against the White Sox Tell me that isn't f***ing suspicious
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 12:49 PM) Twins lead 1-0...Span strikes again. Twins offense has struggled lately, 1-0 doesn't scare me right now
  6. Guys, we scored runs and our pitching didn't give them back in the next inning I haven't seen that in a long time
  7. If Mark gives this lead back, I'm turning the game off, I can't take anymore of that BS after the last week of hell
  8. Ok Wise, prove to me you deserve to be in the f***ing lineup
  9. No clutch situation double-plays AJ, seriously
  10. mirror image of yesterdays game so far 1-1
  11. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 12:24 PM) I swear we give up a solo homer within the first two innings every game. either poor scouting, poor implementation of the scouting by AJ, or just lack of control (pitches are up) due to arm fatigue either way, you're right, we give up a lot of homeruns
  12. This is going to be an easy game for Cleveland
  13. well, at least he isn't a sinkerballer
  14. well, let's come away with a sox winner
  15. I know one thing, Mark pitches much better at home than he does on the road Opposite for Danks, pitches much better on the road than at home At least, this is what I remember from checking stats, feel free to correct me
  16. also, alexei has seemed to cool off exponentially
  17. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 11:23 PM) sigh, i love how the answer to all our problems is "speed". Owens is fast....why is he not the answer? Maybe because he can't f***ing hit the ball out of the infield. We scored enough runs to win the last 2 games, and didnt score enough to win the last 2 in minny. And why is the season over? The twins haven't looked any better than we have, and *gasp* there in the THUNDERDOME THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO WIN IN. Find a way to get something for one of Thome/Konerko/Dye. Move Swish to RF, give BA a chance, aquire a 2b/ss who can leadoff, get urbie back for cheap, find more bulpen. Speed isn't the answer. Balance is. Slow sure as f*** isn't the answer either, that's what we have right now I agree, at least 75% anyway. The other 25% is that the offense has been really bad for long periods of time, which killed our starting pitchers and bullpen
  18. Crede, Thome, Carrasco, Junior, Javy, Boonerz, McDonalds, Horriblio, Wassermullet, and promote Buddy Bell to GM Leave Konerko at 1st, JD to DH, Brian Anderson to CF, Swisher to RF, CQ to LF ____?? 3B, ____?? 2B/SS, Alexei 2B/SS AJ C PK 1B AR 2B/SS ?? 2B/SS ?? 3B CQ LF BA CF NS RF JD DH IMO this team will not be a contending team in 2009 (But, it wasn't supposed to contend in 2008 either. So who knows, just my opinion as of right now), so giving BA a full, healthy year in CF doesn't necessarily hurt this team for the future Try to use draft picks from OC, Junior, and Crede, to shore up the 3B and SS spots of the lineup perhaps Lineup would look something like: ?? 2B/SS (Brian Roberts? lol) Alexei Ramirez - 2B/SS Carlos Quentin - LF Jermaine Dye - DH Paul Konerko - 1B ?? 3B Nick Swisher RF Brian Anderson CF AJ Pierzynski C Whatever!
  19. QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 10:21 PM) it doesnt matter who Cleveland is pitching b/c we aint pitching worth a s***. It's more often than not, easy for young inexperienced pitchers to roll through a 1-dimensional lineup that doesn't seem to understand making adjustments at-bat to at-bat We often say how frustrating it is to watch these no-namers wipe the floor with our offense. Well, when you can stick to a relatively simple gameplan, it's not all that difficult to beat this type of offense, especially when a lot of the hitters have never seen said pitcher before
