  7. the reason they can't find a bad contract swap is because Benintendi's Achilles is rumored to be hanging on by a thread
  8. I'm surprised Sosa and Robert are still on this team to be honest, I figured they would both be gone before January

  10. reminds me of sunk cost fallacy
  11. if that's true ("much higher"), it doesn't seem to bear out in any meaningful way in the stats. Ohtani had a 0.016 higher average, lower OBP, lower SLG Ohtani's K rate in the MLB has increased vs NPB (obviously to be expected) He strikes out every 3.38 ABs vs every 3.19 ABs in the NPB Ohtani is below league average in Zone Contact (MLB: 82.5%, Ohtani: 75.9%)
  12. I'm looking at Murakami's NPB stats vs Ohtani's, I gotta be missing something, is there a reason why Murakami's K rate is so much more alarming than Ohtani's In the NPB, Murakami struck out every 3.28 ABs Ohtani struck out every 3.19 ABs I think a bigger reason why teams didn't go all in on Murakami is because of his defense/lack of a real position, more than his high strikeout rate. Ohtani can at least fall back on his arm NPB Stats I couldn't find their zone contact/whiff stats to compare them
  13. how cute meanwhile I'm over here finishing up Chainsaw Man
  14. technically it's "moo-nay" (said quickly) you will also sometimes hear it pronounced "mew-nay"
  15. it could also be bad pitch ID, his in zone contact rates are below avg
  16. nice drop dude, well done
  17. Packers could probably beat the bears with literally any second string QB at this point, that's proven
  18. it's like you think it's my fault lol
  19. Lol most uncoached irresponsible s%*# I've seen all year
  20. embarrassing isn't even the right word to explain how bad the bears are right now
