  1. I've heard good things about this Manning guy.

Except for the two he made. You can't make errors if you can't get to the ball.

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) he did well in 2003 in Center Field. Lots of things happened in 2003 that should never ever be done again.
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 09:37 AM) I know it was the Texans. But the kid got thrown into the fire and from the back from, I think, 21 points down. Of course, Holt and Bruce had something to do with that. Not trying to take anything away from him. Just saying the Texans suck. Suck it hard.
  5. QUOTE(3E8 @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 09:39 AM) Good post. Packers (20) Steelers (22) (But how have they fallen sans Roethlisberger?) Vikings (25) Falcons (10) The remaining schedule shapes up nicely for the Bears as the D should have opportunities galore. From this point out, anything short of 11-5 should be viewed as a disappointment.
  6. QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 09:30 AM) Ryan Fitzpatrick, rookie Ram QB, 3rd stringer, from Harvard! takes his 1st NFL snap then proceeds to lead the Rams to come from behind victory over the Texans. Going 19 - 30, 310 yards. 3 TD's 1 pick and passer rating of 117.4 Kyle Who? The Texans. Wow. Has there been another team that has tried so hard to lose?
  7. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 09:25 AM) No but they are both viewed as contenders in the NFC and have great records. Neither team is really setting the world on fire right now. Tampa Bay, coming off wins over Washington and a manicdepressive Atlanta team had just weeks earlier lost to the Niners and were crushed by Carolina. Carolina could be undefeated right now, but their underachieving O was roughed up by the Bears. They just decide to suck some weeks (NO, Miami), I guess. Heh. Strength of Schedule: (Before this week) Chicago (28) Carolina (29) Tampa Bay (30) Indianapolis (31) Seattle (32) Glad to see I'm not the only one thinking that Seattle's not as good as advertised. Indy has the 4th hardest schedule til the end, so they can prove themselves. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/2005/11/2...a-rankings/3255
  8. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 09:24 AM) If Rothlesburger is still out then Pitt is gonna get smoked like a cheap sausage. Roethlisberger is probable.
  9. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 09:23 AM) If you would have said that 2 weeks ago I would have agreed with you but beating Carolina and Tampa in consecutive weeks makes a strong statement in their favor. Carolina and TB are surely not offensive juggernauts.
  10. Also, how much of the Bears' success was because they've beaten one team higher than 23rd in total offense? The Bears D is one of the tops out there, no question, but they've been feasting on bottom feeders: Losses: Cincinatti (3rd in O) Redskins (14) Browns (21) Wins: New Orleans (17) Tampa Bay (23) Carolina (24) Minnesota (25) Baltimore (26) Detroit (27) San Francisco (32)
  11. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 09:09 AM) Well what the hell do you want them to do? Demand a conference change? I'm just saying that their record is largely a function of playing in a weaker conference. I seriously doubt they'd have an 8-3 record...any idea that the Bears are Super Bowl worthy just isn't right. The teams they have beaten have a combined 47-51 record. The teams they have lost to are a combined 17-16. Just throwin' that out there.
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 08:37 AM) Well I'm biased against Turner, but he definitely had a rough day at least yesterday. Also, our running game has to do with having very good tailbacks and a solid, veteran offensive line IMO. And as for the Bears having a good offense if their QB was worth anything.......shh don't say that!! Orton is awesome, he wins!!! :headshake I think it'd be more accurate to say he hasn't lost.
  13. Bears Super Bowl? Get over yourselves. We'll see how the Bears match up two weeks from now against someone not in the NFC (not named Seattle or New York, of course). I still say fluke. Badmouth me all you want, but their luck will run out. The Bears have done much better than I thought, I'll admit that, but I still think a lot of it is a function of playing the NFC. Ahh, Kyle Orton, 17th in passer rating in a league with 16 teams.
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 27, 2005 -> 05:05 PM) Carolina is also 8-3. There would be a 4way tie but if the Gmen win and the season ended today the Bears would get home field throughout. I feel dirty.
  15. The Bucs could at least make my weekend a little better and win.
  16. Yeah we lost to two backup QB's, and Baylor, which is essentially a backup team.
  17. There wasn't any sort of conference championship on the line that day and we knew something wasn't right after the Baylor game. This was a heart being torn out, followed up by a kick to the testicles. Hampton didn't beat ISU by 17 in Ames, either.
  18. QUOTE(Confederate_48 @ Nov 26, 2005 -> 10:20 PM) If they win this im gonna be shocked since they have tried to hard to lose it They need some ISU staff in there to blow this.
  19. Nah Iowa could lose by 80 in either sport and I wouldn't give a care.
  20. Iona wins 89-72 and Heads goes on anti-depressants.
  21. Worst day in ISU history.
  22. Iona 73 Iowa State 62 4 and change left
