QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 07:27 PM) If I were in that spot, I'd spend some money on one of the available O-Linemen. Beyond that, I wouldn't do so, except to try to hold onto Grossman, but honestly, I have no idea what Angelo will try to do there. I think you guys will right your ship but I'm not sure rex is the answer for your franchise. I think a vetran like culpepper would put your team over the top along with a healthy bunch on defense and O-line. The vikes are one diemesinol, the lions are well the lions and rogers will be gone soon, the pack are riding high right now but once farve throws his picks they are done.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 07:22 PM) Angelo is too smart to let him walk for nothing. He knows how good he can be when he's on the field...but he doesn't want to take a $2 million cap hit on him next year given that you can't count on his health, so this is maneuvering to try to talk Brown into reworking his contract. Agreed there I can see the skins making a play for him for a draft pick. do you think there is any you guys sign any big name FA's? I think culpepper would do good with you guys because if he has a good team around him I see playoffs.

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 07:06 PM) umm, excuse me, LSU had the same damn injuries! Hell, LSU won their conference championship game with their backup QB. USC couldn't beat Stanford with their backup. LSU had their best WR miss several games, their QB injured a couple of times, completely missing the SEC Championship, their All-American DT out and ineffective while playing with a bad knee from a cheap chop block, and others as well. LSU's injuries were equal to that of USC's so that crap doesn't fly. Wanna whine about injuries, see Michigan! The only game they were completely healthy all year was their bowl game. LOL we'll see when the men of troy roll your team next season. Mark sanchez had never had any real PT and the garbag QB's efrom LSU have. USC would have rolled michigan as well -
QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 07:17 PM) Mike Brown is under contract for one more year. your right I just found it here however angelo doesnt know if he wants to keep him http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...3&sport=NFL

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 07:06 PM) Mike Brown is still under contract for next year to the best of my knowledge. Now because of his injuries I wouldnt be overly surprised if we cut him him. But, who knows at this point. he's a FA this season bro which is your GM was looking toward life after him and maybe adam archleta as well. As a raiders fan AA is a perfect fit for us

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 06:51 PM) I wouldnt be surprised if we lost Berrian and Briggs. Although, I know the Niners just spent a ton seemingly last off-season on f/a's so dont know their exact cap situation. As for Raiders pursuing Berrian, I dont see why they should invest that much money into an avg. WR. Although with a QB like yours you need a deep threat. (on berrian) well with my raiders they need someone bad to stretch the field. Ronald curry is a damn good possiesion WR and if he had a good enough QB could be a probowler. I think we may swap you guys might get our EX WR jerry porter whos a FA and we get berrian. The niners are still loaded they are a big team market and will spend on FA's(briggs, Isac spoanga) are there #1 priorities The niners and raiders will have a lot of cap space this offseason so expect big things out of both. I saw a quote that said jerry angelo thinks guys like rashed davis and hester can take over for berrian just fine and might better. He also said he didnt want to tag benard. How about mike brown? I have heard he may be pursued by the skins when they clear some space. my raiders are close to extensions with aso, tommy kelly

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 06:49 PM) I think Chris Paul deserves to be an all star over all of them. My list would probably be 1. Chris Paul 2. Baron Davis 3. Deron Williams 4. Tony Parker. As far as Steven Jackson, I think he is a very important part of the Warriors but I dont think he is an all star. whats your opinion on Aundris beidriens? I think Barron is better then paul.

QUOTE(max power @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 06:45 PM) De Los Santos will probably be a pretty decent reliever. Sweeney is still young enough to have a solid chance at being a starting outfielder but not quite of Swisher's caliber, and he showed talent before injuring himself last year, but I expect gio to fail. Those are just my guesses. considering what we had in swish I dont like it. However I have all the faith in billy beane because hes a top 5 GM. Soon when cisco field opens up we'll be good and have money to actually sign FA's

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 04:29 PM) FYI, if the Plus 1 system was in place this year, the matchups would have been as follows: 1. Ohio State vs. 4. Oklahoma 2. LSU vs. 3. VA Tech USC and Georgia should all just shut the f*** up. I know they were playing well at the end of the year, but they didn't do enough to belong, even in the Plus 1 model. It's easy crowing from the outside. ???? USC had some key injuries or else they would've whooped LSU's arse in the natinol champion chip game. -
There was a big article from Chicago, bay area newspapers on the raiders pursuing the bears free agent WR Benard Berrian and the niners going after lance briggs. Are they worth the big pay day? They are both hometown guys as well from Nor cal close to the bay area. what do you guys think of mike brown leaving as well? Do you guys think you'll pursue Culpepper?

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 02:24 PM) Actually I'm worried Snyder's really going to go after Jason Garrett, just to screw the Cowboys. That's if the Ravens don't get him first. Losing Ireland, Sparano and Garrett in 1 off-season, that would majorly hurt the Cowboys big time. I doubt jerry lets garett get away and would fire old man phillips for garett if that were the case.

QUOTE(CrimsonWeltall @ Jan 2, 2008 -> 03:36 PM) GSP is going to destroy Serra. I highly doubt that. They are both two of my favorites however.

QUOTE(max power @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 06:35 PM) Ozzie will probably leave him alone. He is a bit older and more proven than the people he had issues with in the past. I hope so because swish is a great player. I hope we get something out of the three we got for swish.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 06:13 PM) I'm sure Sweeney will see a lot of MLB team with you guys this year. Gonzalez maybe in Sept call up time. DLS, not this year. Maybe 1 or 2 away. Thanks I hope there at least average because swish was our best player and young star next to eric chavez. -
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 06:21 PM) Well since he's signed to a long multi-million dollar deal, Ozzie will have a much harder time trying to bury him for any party antics. ozzie would really try and stop swish from being swish then bro. If its like that I dont think swish will like it very much.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 06:26 PM) In my opinion Nocioni has been getting to much playing time. I think honestly he has regressed this year and starting to become one of the players I dread to see. Noah on the other hand to me has been a pleasant surprise. I expected the worse with the pick and I think so far he has been very good. do you watch the games on wgn as well? whats your opinion on my warriors and do you think Barron should be an all star over deron williams, chris paul and tony parker? do you think steven jackson should get some consideration?
-
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 06:19 PM) This lineup with Gray, Noah, and Tyrus has been very entertaining to watch. I hope all 3 keep getting more playtime as the season progresses. I've watched a few bulls games on WGN and i'm not too impressed with Noah myself but tyrus thomas has played great in some spurts because hes so athletic. why doesn't noch get more PT with the bulls? Him, heinrich, gordon are your best shooters.

Good luck to your guy's bulls this season I am a huge warriors fan myself I am a nocioni fan as well

you'll love swish as a i mentioned in another thread. Are any of these guys MLB ready, who do they compare to and which one has the highest ceiling? -
QUOTE(max power @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 05:40 PM) lol, like I care about that? I wish he were the opposite. Not completely opposite, not that there's anything wrong with that. well as a younger cat I liked to see a humble down to earth superstar at some local spots in the bay area.

As an A's fan I hate this trade but white sox fan should love it. The white sox gave up three hit and miss guys for a great player, fan favorite and party animal that you will see in some hot night spots with the ladies.
