  1. QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 11:42 AM)
    I don't know if Pacers would agree to trade George without the guaranteed #1 overall. If it's 2018 Nets pick, they may have to include two of Smart, Brown and Crowder in the deal. Even if they sign Hayward, I think they definitely need another proven scorer like George to hang with the Cavs or Warriors.

    The issue is that the pacers have no leverage. George didn't make an all nba team so he's not eligible for the super max and no team is going to give up substantial pieces for him because most expect him to bolt after one year to the Lakers. The Celtics can still give up a good package and gamble because it'll be tough for George to leave a team with that kind of talent on it.

  2. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 12:36 PM)
    Of course he can and should be criticized but as I said I think these last few games you guys are getting at him for very bizarre reasons imo. The stat padding people got on him for being too passive in the 4th in game 3 and now he's just being aggressive to stat pad. He had 14 in the 4th last night so he already had 27 through the first 3, dude was trying to do everything in his power to keep up when his team was just overmatched.

    Game 3 was much closer and they had a shot at winning that game if he wasn't as passive in the fourth. It isn't really possible to stat pad late in the fourth quarter of a highly contested game.

    It is easy to stat pad when you're not playing defense in the fourth quarter of a blowout and taking easy baskets late.

  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 09:42 AM)
    33.6, 12.0, 10.0

    But you're right, he waited until there were three minutes in game 5 to take over for his team. Solid post.

    And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why Lebron pads his stats. Most people watching that game would agree with what shack posted. Nobody even said he played poorly or anything.

  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 07:54 AM)
    LeBron just became the first player to average a triple double in the NBA Finals.

    I knew he was padding his stats the whole last 6 minutes of the fourth, and I was genuinely curious why he passed at the end of the game considering he was just getting layups for a while. Turns out without the last assist he would have averaged 9.8 APG. Homie knows how to do it.

    Don't get me wrong, he played amazing in the series. He just absolutely pads his stats because he knows how numbers based fans are. Same reason he stopped half court heaves a few years ago when he wanted to shoot 60% from the field for the Heat.

  5. QUOTE (maxjusttyped @ Jun 9, 2017 -> 11:27 PM)
    Part of why the Warriors have been allowing so many points is because of the ridiculous pace in the series. Also, LeBron and Kyrie being surrounded by this much shooting is going to score against anyone.

    95-96 Bulls allowed 101.8 points per 100 possessions

    16-17 Warriors allowed 104.0 points per 100 possessions

    I'm not trying to argue this Warriors team is/is not better than the 95 Bulls, but it's also not fair to act like the Warriors are a bad defensive team.

    2.2 points per 100 isn't insignificant. I was also speaking about the finals where defense teens to get better.

  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 9, 2017 -> 11:01 PM)
    They did. And if GS wins on Monday they will have the best playoff record in the history of the NBA which counts for something as well. I'm not even making an argument about who is better at this point but "best team ever my ass" is just a reaction off one bad game just like the Bulls had in those playoffs.

    Giving up 137 points in a finals game though? I'll stick to my "best team ever my ass" comment.

  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 06:59 AM)
    Michael was 1-9 without Scottie his first three years and lost to the same Detroit team 3 years on a row until they got old in '91. You telling me throughout that entire 6-year period MJ never made a questionable basketball play? GMAB. MJ is so f***ing lucky he came up when he came up.

    Simply put, if you put Jordan in Lebron's shoes in those last few minutes last night do you think they lose?

  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 12:33 AM)
    I'm just going to answer you both at once here and leave it at that. Yes shack, I watched the game, I wouldn't be commenting if I didn't. I'm not sure what the +- stat is supposed to mean. He was the highest of a whole 3 guys(and Kyrie isn't part of that) who had a positive +- for the Cavs. Durant had the absurd +- of 0 in the game, it's just a flawed stat. As for the play itself, LeBron did make a move to drive to the hoop, he ended up going left and got caught by the help. If he drives right, maybe he gets to the rim, maybe Dray is such a good defender he forces a tough shot, maybe Klay drops down and cuts him off and maybe Durant who is already sliding over when LeBron starts to drive meets him at the rim. We have no idea. What we do know is that Korver is insane from that left corner and LeBron thought it was the best play at the time. He missed, maybe Jordan's legacy isn't the same if Paxson and/or Kerr missed in those finals. Fortunately for us Bulls fans, they did not.

    How many points did lebron score in the fourth?

  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 7, 2017 -> 11:23 AM)
    Last year the Warriors were already printing their "Repeat" championship t-shirts. This year they are much more in focus I think and aren't gonna blow their chance.

    Oh, and you know, they added Kevin Durant.

    Agreed. Lowe mentioned how relaxed everyone was going into Cleveland. How they were saying things like "This feels like regular season games to us" and that they were basically just shooting for a split to win game 5 at home.

  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 7, 2017 -> 11:16 AM)
    Yeah, I am sure you are right, but LeBron was "out for blood" in game 2 and they still lost by 20 or whatever.

    The public is all over the Warriors and the line has gone from Cavs -2 to Warriors -3.5.

    Between the refs cheating, the crowd, and LeBron, I really think the Cavs get it done tonight going away.

    I guess we will see.

    Lebron was out for blood, but the Warriors are just much better than the Cavs. The Cavs had a defense ranked in the 20s. I do think they have a shot at winning tonight due to the refs and role players playing better at home, but it just seems like the Warriors really want to sweep and they have so much more talent that they could get it done.

  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 7, 2017 -> 11:03 AM)
    Ok fellas...contemplating a big play on Cavs ML tonight...

    How do we all feel about this one?

    I would not. The Warriors got blown out in game 3 last year and it seems like they're not going to let that happen this year. I've thought for a bit that game 3 would be a good opportunity to bet the Warriors just because people will be on cleveland. Lowe also talked about how the attitude of the Warriors seems so different between games 2 and 3 from last year. Says he thinks they're "out for blood".

  12. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jun 1, 2017 -> 11:03 AM)
    Barring injuries or suspensions I wouldn't be surprised if the Warriors sweep. Most logical seems like Warriors in 5 though.

    I forgot to say that my comment wasn't meant as a shot at lebron. This warriors team is just ridiculously stacked. Only a few teams in history could play with them and lebron doesn't have the defenders on his team to help enough,
