QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 11:24 PM) Every single class Saban has signed has won a natty. That's incredible. He just yanked the "best CFB coach on the planet" crown back from Urban Meyer. Those two are way above anyone else right now. -
QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Jan 12, 2016 -> 06:56 AM) I don't get the LHolmes love on SoxTalk. He just seems like the biggest nerd. Sounds pretty self-explanatory to me.

That Bama left tackle is a beast. -
QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 02:04 PM) Sub-question: What movies have you seen the most in your lifetime? My wife asked me this and I think the answer is office space. I'm pretty sure when I was in high school I'd come home from school and it was on comedy central like every day...and I watched it. Shawshank Redemption. I stop and watch it everytime it's on and it's on a lot.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 08:31 AM) That was a game against the Sharks. I was at a bar hooting and hollering. Yeah, Hossa was one of my favorites when he was on the Senators (not listed in your post above). Given he's won 3 Cups with the Hawks, should he get into the Hall it'd without question be as a Blackhawk even if his better seasons were the first 10 of his career. Same here, it was the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, they smoked them like 7-2 or something. That year was so awesome.

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Jan 10, 2016 -> 07:28 PM) Good News: Blackhawks scored again Bad News: My wife is going to use this to justify putting on the Golden Globes In exchange for watching football all day, my main TV is on Minnie Mouse's Pet Salon right now . #DadLife

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 10, 2016 -> 06:59 PM) All four road teams win first round First time ever. The new eight division setup helped make it happen with two 9 win teams hosting double digit winners. That and two epic meltdowns.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jan 10, 2016 -> 06:32 PM) Thank god this narrative can die now Haha. It was a small sample size but impressive nonetheless.

QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 10, 2016 -> 05:50 PM) 2010's Dream Team(That would actually make sense from a talent perspective). Sharp-Toews-Hossa Panarin-Anisimov-Kane Saad-Vermette-Versteeg Ladd-Bolland-Brouwer Seabrook-Campbell Keith-Byfuglien Hjalmarsson-Leddy Crawford Niemi Those top 3 lines would snipe, the 4th line would be grinders, and each defensive pair brings offense and defense. That's some 1980s Oilers/Islanders dynasty s*** right there, 5 Cups in a row!

I think I jinxed it, Rodgers is on fire all of a sudden.
-
Jordan Reed is the new Gronk.
-
QUOTE (scs787 @ Jan 10, 2016 -> 04:19 PM) Missing Nelson hurts too. Cobb isn't a #1. Missing Nelson doesn't make you miss wide open receivers. And they seemed to be fine the first 6 weeks of the season.
-
As soon as the Packers get eliminated (maybe not today), I expect an announcement about an Aaron Rodgers injury and surgery, post Stanley Cup style. Dude does not look right. I know his line sucks, but it hasn't bothered him that much in the past.
-
Varlamov is back tonight. They beat him in Colorado but he has been better at the UC.
-
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 10, 2016 -> 03:21 PM) No way. That is a 27 yard field goal that he hooked incredibly badly and he made an earlier kick with the laces in. I saw something on Twitter that the ball seemed to be tilted to the left too, but yeah, you are right. He missed it so badly, it wasn't even close.
-
The 3 games have been pretty damn boring but two unbelievable endings. That last kick seemed to be more on the holder than the kicker but no one will care.
-
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 11:05 PM) Frank Thomas is having a meltdown on twitter. That's weird, he's from the South anyway. That's a bad look, bet it gets deleted before you know it.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 10:58 PM) I agree. Im just saying his history, not just this game is the reason people talk about him that way. The hit on Ben wasn't dirty today. But that hit on Antonio Brown more than earned his reputation, that was nasty.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 10:54 PM) That penalty on Jones was a joke. Get Porter away from the opposition. Can both teams be eliminated Jones just needed to stay away and calm down, but I didn't really see a penalty with Porter all over the field with the Bengals. What a f***ing s***show though. And you gotta think Big Ben is done with the way he answered those questions. And he could barely throw 10 yards downfield.
-
Did anybody see the second personal foul they called on Pac-Man? I didn't see that one.
-
So about Burfict.....Hope Brown is OK. That may decide the game.
-
Big Ben is hurt, that's why they keep calling those short passes. Tells you a lot about how much the trust Landry Jones though.
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 10:37 PM) This game is just amazing. The announcers want to murder Burfict. And THAT's BIG BEN'S MUSIC!
-
Wow, Bengals take the lead. Steelers in trouble for all the busted red zone trips. Landry Jones, your table is ready.

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 09:29 PM) I saw a post on Twitter that was interesting and could possibly be true. It said something along the lines of that the Sox are waiting until SoxFest to announce an acquisition to try to garner more interest in the event itself. I don't know if it's true or not, but it does seem like the Sox usually announce something big at that time. That works when you are re-signing your own player, not with a top FA like Upton or Cespedes. You "agree" to a deal but wait two weeks to announce it, some other team can swoop in and sign him in between.
