QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 20, 2011 -> 03:34 PM) Freeman finally started throwing the ball well again today. He hurt his thumb against the Bears and his passes have looked horrible and soft coming out of his hand the past couple weeks. Packers only drove the ball down the field 3 times for TDs but the two failed onside kick attempts led to 14 points and that was killer today. That 4th down run by the punter on the first drive was killer too. They had a 3 & out, and got a great rush on the punt, but the rush was too good and the punter scrambled for the 1st down, and the Pack scored on that drive. -

Bengals suddenly don't look so hot now that they are facing some real competition. Very impressive performance for the Buccs so far, although I still expect GB to pull out the victory. -
I watched Horrible Bosses on the plane yesterday. I thought it was funny, it definitely had its moments. I did think Bridesmaids was way funnier though. Also watched Bad Teacher yesterday, thought that was pretty hilarious too. I liked all 3, but probably rank them: Bridesmaids > Bad Teacher > Horrible Bosses

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Nov 20, 2011 -> 11:16 AM) I am not sure what we can get for them, but I think we should be actively shopping them KW: "Hey, Brian. We are looking to move Dunn & Rios, any interest?" Brian Cashman: "Hahahahahahahahahaha!!! That was a good one, Kenny!" KW: "Hey, Kevin. We are looking to move Dunn & Rios, any interest?" Kevin Towers: "Hahahahahahahahahaha!!! That was a good one, Kenny!" KW: "Hey, Ruben. We are looking to move Dunn & Rios, any interest?" Ruben Amaro: "Hahahahahahahahahaha!!! That was a good one, Kenny!" The same call has happened with 26 other GMs I'm sure.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 20, 2011 -> 03:54 AM) The D has been awful these last few games, just awful. Scott should never see the ice for a SC caliber NHL team. Fixed

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 19, 2011 -> 02:15 PM) Neither Oregon nor Alabama should be in there. But someone who lost at home in the meat of the season doesn't deserve it at all. The only one-loss teams that haven't lost at home are OK State & Arkansas and the Razorbacks have to go to Baton Rouge next week. -
Buehrle Signs with Marlins | 4 yrs $58 mil

QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 19, 2011 -> 01:21 AM) Give me a break. Buehrle just good in 05? People hate on the guys who are reliable, the guys who have been around, the guys who deserve White Sox money. They like the unknown ... like Adam Dunn, until they get here and suck. Saying I love perhaps the best starter in White Sox history for just one season is bulls***. How was Adam Dunn unknown? 2002: 26 HRs 2003: 27 HRs 2004: 46 HRs 2005: 40 HRs 2006: 40 HRs 2007: 40 HRs 2008: 40 HRs 2009: 38 HRs 2010: 38 HRs It sucks how awful he was, but he was the most reliable power hitter around for 7+ years. That was not an "unknown". I would love to keep Mark around, but you have to pay him for what he will produce the next few years, not pay him the "White Sox money" that he deserves for the past decade. The past is the past and he was already paid for that. He needs to earn the future contract he signs as well, so you can't just give him what he wants if it's too much. -

QUOTE (danman31 @ Nov 19, 2011 -> 10:30 PM) Chip Kelly tops anything Les Miles has done with that impossibly poor clock management. Oregon was moving the ball at will and failed to use their timeout and settled on a FG with a kicker who is 6/10. I have no idea how you do that. There was about a 1% chance that kicker makes that field goal, everyone in America knew it, even him. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 19, 2011 -> 11:53 PM) Well that was about the s***tiest back to backs ever. Hopefully the days off in Vegas let them clear their mind and wake the f*** up. Keith is -8 the last two nights. I will be at the game in Anaheim Friday so I don't wanna see another multi-goal loss. Thaat being said, it's a long season, they are still in the tops in the league in points, no need to get worried at all yet.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 03:48 PM) only because Brown wanted to be a package with his brother and no other school was willing to offer his brother. There is nothing wrong with that. That's how Ron Turner managed to recruit two brothers named Mendenhall and that worked out pretty well for Illinois. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 02:35 PM) Fair enough. Sorry I didn't see the poll. My bad. I'm out of whack sports wise with all the deaths, horrible scandals. Ok State coaches die; Syracuse, Penn State, horrible. I still say give Mark whatever he wants. He'll earn the money unlike some bums. How do you know that? What if you give him $15 mil a year for four seasons and he has a 4.50+ ERA every year? That's not earning that salary. -

Gabe Carimi has been placed on IR. Only played 6 quarters. Hopefully this doesn't turn into Marc Colombo part deux. -

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 11:05 AM) I've always assumed they suffer from the same long-term problem that the Bears do: lose your HOF MLB, lose your defense. We will see what happens on Sunday vs. Cincy then. Ray-Ray is out for the first time in about 4-5 seasons. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 09:17 AM) I think they'll put it together and make it to the tournament. Next year assuming everyone progresses I think they've got a real shot at being at the top of the league again. I hope this analysis is correct, but not keeping my hopes up just yet. -
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 10:17 AM) That's the way everyone pronounced it out there, so I assumed they had it right. I guess it's like us with Pods. Most pronounced it Pod-sednik when it was supposedly Puh-sednik. How about Alexei Ramirez? I always hear TV guys say Alex-ei, but the PA guy at the Cell pronounces it Ale-say

Speaking of Mark Kotsay. After his 0 for 25 season vs. LHP in 2010 for the Sox, he went 6 for 13 vs. lefties in 2011.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 09:30 AM) Please no expansion. It is hard enough to fill the rosters of the 30 teams we have now. I do not want to see the talent pool deluded anymore than it already is. Hence Mark Kotsay's ability to find a job again.

Season Ticket Price Drop Per Online Invoice

QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 08:56 AM) Lower single game prices, please. Tiered pricing is ridic. $77 a pop for general lower deck to see Boston is a travesty in this economy, especially when you're no longer offering Considering that they couldn't even sell out the entire Boston, Yankees, or even Cubs series, I would think they realize prices may be a bit too high. -
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 08:45 AM) I saw this. I don't know if its in bad taste or not. It's hard to say. He was a cold-blooded murderer of innocent people so it probably is in bad taste. But since it happened such a long time ago and has become such a folk legend, I think it could be OK.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 08:03 AM) He gave up that run in the first 2 batters of game 5. And those two batters were Furcal & Schumaker, not Pujols or Berkman.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 11:16 PM) Hey, Halladay wasn't the reason they lost. Unless you want to blame him for their inadequacies on offense. Not at all. To go along with Milk's comment, Halladay's numbers should have been better, just like the Phillies should have won the NL, but it doesn't always work out that way.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 18, 2011 -> 07:07 AM) The Broncos are averaging a whopping 20 pts a game since Tebow has took over, he is not winning them games, their defense is. I don't disagree with you about that. In the NFL, the QB gets too much of the credit or too much of the blame. People see the 1-4 record to start the year, then the 4-1 record since Tebow took over. Add in the 2 late comebacks vs. MIA & the Jets, and people see him as a winner leading his team on, despite his inability to throw a football. -

QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 17, 2011 -> 11:41 PM) He wasnt pissed. And all because they are winning games now doesnt mean Tebow is an automatic shoe-in to be the starter next year. The Ravens didnt bring Dilfer back after winning a Super Bowl and Dilfer was actually putting up decent passing numbers at times. I completely disagree. Elway wants nothing to do with Tebow as his QB, but if he keeps making plays to help his team win games, you can't just bench him. Despite his lack of any passing ability, his team is 4-1 behind him and his playmaking has directly contributed to it. I know you shouldn't let the inmates run the asylum, but if the Broncos win this crappy division behind Tebow, it's gonna be very difficult to try & bring in another QB to start next season. Dilfer is a real bad example. The 2000 Ravens had one of the best defenses ever that season, which was the only reason they won and everyone knows that. Dilfer was a caretaker, nothing else and not even that good at it. 12 TDs, 11 INTs during the season.
