The last time Liam started a game in the playoffs, it went very poorly.
  2. This was the best Lynn had looked since early in the year, when he threw that CG shutout against KC. He had his best velocity in a long time and he held it pretty well despite the knee flaring up on him. Just gotta hope the knee is good by the time October rolls around, cause we're gonna need this version of Lynn in the playoffs.
  3. I think them getting swept by Milwaukee pretty much guaranteed that the Sox will clinch before the series in Cleveland. Cleveland plays 3 against the Twins in Minnesota (they're 6-10 against them this year) and then the Yankees in NY. I think they're probably looking at a 3-3 week at best and a very likely 2-4 week if not 1-5. That means if the Sox go 4-2 this week, they'll probably either clinch on Sunday in Texas or at Detroit.
  4. The fact that some thought Pagano was the main issue is ridiculous. This defense is just old and bad. Now we have no corners and Jackson is playing like one of the worst safeties in football.
  5. This team is incapable of completing a pass longer than 15 yards. I liked that they had sustained drives so far, but the defense is just god awful. The Rams basically didn't bother running the ball and we still can't stop their pass attack.
  6. They did fix him in ST this year. Kimbrel had said as much.
  7. His mechanics are all fucked up. It's why he can't spot his fastball and why his curve usually isn't a strike. Boston basically decided they were just gonna take pitches against him cause they knew he couldn't get the curve in the zone. The Cubs knew how to fix him when he got like this. We have no real answers and it's aggravating. Not only is he blowing games, but we also paid out the ass for him.
  8. Leury and Cesar basically switched bodies.
  9. I might be in attendance next week when they clinch down in Arlington. Very exciting.
  10. This had to be the least likely walk off hit of the year.
  11. Way to make up for your wrongs last night Leury!
  12. Mike Wrong gonna win this one for Boston again.
  13. We have no shot against Whitlock.
  14. It's cause his fastball is god awful. It's 94-95 right now.
  15. Grandal ain't getting shit to hit.
  16. Kimbrel gave up a 105 MPH liner. Those usually go for hits.
  17. Come on Eloy, make up for your awful series so far with a homer here.
  18. Only cause there's nobody else available. If we don't win it here, we're not winning in extras.
  19. The walk to Renfroe changed that whole inning.
  20. Another blown save fuck off Kimbrel.
  21. Seby got crossed up there too. They gotta get on the same page.
  22. Red Sox look like they're going up there with a plan to take knowing Kimbrel can't throw the curve for a strike.
