Houston's weakest part of the team is their middle relief. In pretty much every game this year, we haven't gotten to hit off them cause their starters seemingly dominate us for 7 innings every time out.

We really don't have a large margin for error against good teams like the Astros. One defensive misplay is the difference between a dominant start for Cease and a mediocre one.

Quintana produced about 7 WAR over 3.5 seasons for the Cubs and got paid $26 million while doing it. He was basically a ML average starter for them overall. Eloy has produced 3.4 WAR in 2 seasons and Cease had produced 2.3 WAR in a little over 2 seasons. That's almost 6 WAR alone in just 2 seasons of play for them. You also have to take into account that we control them both for 4+ more years. When you consider how much Quintana underperformed for them, I really don't think you can say it was a even trade.

Kopech alone is worth more than Gallo. But nah, let's throw in our best pitching prospect too while we're at it.

Ball is the 12th prospect in the Braves' system. MLB Pipeline has him as a 45 grade prospect. He'd probably be top 10 in our system.

Moncada is a really bad 2B. He's a pretty good 3B. I know Burger would be a nice upgrade in the lineup if he could play everyday, but you don't move your most valuable position player so you can plug in a rookie who's been up for 2 weeks.
