  1. Kotsay is working to make that -.06 WAR look really respectable.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2010 -> 08:18 PM) Ugh, Kotsay chased ball 4. With this umpire, no reason to be helping out Millwood as much as we have. Please, Kotsay just missed that one.
  3. Kotsay looking for new experiences grounds out to SS instead of 2b.
  4. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 7, 2010 -> 08:16 PM) There ya go Quentin! Made up for that run last inning when Markakis doubled on a ball that should have been caught. Markakis doubled off the top of that wall. Spider-Man doesn't catch that ball.
  5. THAT BALL IS HAMMERED!!!! YESSSSSSS
  6. Konerko just worked himself out of that at-bat.
  7. We need to make something happen. Our offense can't keep getting lulled to sleep by slow starts.
  8. f***. The joys of having a LF incapable of throwing anyone out.
  9. Floyd isn't fooling anyone. Quentin played that perfectly.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2010 -> 08:00 PM) Might be? His swing is soooooo slow through the zone. The last thing this team needs is for Rios to stop hitting. Especially, with AJ and DH Monster showing no signs of filling any offensive void.
  11. Another GIDP for Rios. It might be time to start worrying about this.
  12. Damn, nice play by Bell.
  13. Hynick just had the heck beaten out of him by the Tigers AAA guys.
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 7, 2010 -> 07:49 PM) The offense has been more than adequate over the past 50 games. We'd have all loved to get a big bat, but I still feel pretty good if we can just get Q to give us some consistency and use the bats that we do have correctly. Unfortunately, this little run by Kotsay and Viciedo's struggles against the RH yesterday are probably going to condomn us to Kotsay for the remainder of the year unless we can reel in Manny. The constant fear is that the Sox will slip into the team hell they were in three months ago. The good news is that much of that was caused by s*** pitching, as opposed to crappy hitting. I still think new blood was needed for a title run, but you're not going to hear me telling you that this team can't win this division as currently constructed.
  15. The offense needed new blood, and KW didn't get it done. I expect to see a lot of these performances for the rest of the year. We need to hope that our pitching continues to win the day for us.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2010 -> 07:39 PM) Trying to bunt a 3-1 pitch with no one on and two outs = Ozzie Ball FIXED.
  17. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 7, 2010 -> 07:37 PM) Kotsay pops out, must be some of that "bad luck" I wouldn't be mad if he tripled again on his next at-bat. When Kotsay pops out, he pops out right at someone. These are some hard hit pop-outs.
  18. Gavin is looking like Chris Sale out there.
  19. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 7, 2010 -> 07:22 PM) I think it was 13 between him and Pierre Ah, that changes things.
  20. Kubel homers. Twins lead 1-0.
  21. QUOTE (SAVVY18 @ Aug 7, 2010 -> 07:19 PM) awful at bat for vizquel there. Vizquel managed to make Millwood throw 13 pitches that isn't a bad ab, it's a bad result after a great ab.
  22. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 7, 2010 -> 07:04 PM) They're not that bad Agreed, i'm just a sucker for home cooking. There's few people i'd take over Hawk and Stoney when it comes to calling a Sox game.
