Living in the New York area, means I get both YES and ESPN 1050 pretty regularly. Swisher, the one who jokes around a lot, and is a high OBP player. Not the one who is reviled by White Son fans for having one bad year.

I'd love to get Lastings, but i am concerned by what we might have to give up. Back when Bowden was GM, it would have been highly likely that we could lowball him and hope the guy reacts out of expediency, but from what I’ve heard the new GM won't be fooled that easily. However, if the Nats keeping playing like this a fire sale is likely, then KW can pounce.

This 2009-Indians hype was even worse then ther 2008-Tigers hype. The Tigers at least made the necessary moves to look like a pretty decent team on paper, but the Indians rolled the dice on half their holes, and they're paying for that. The writer of this rant was right Shapiro smokescreened everyone, and the national media hype helped, the Indians are not a better team sans Sabathia, and they are realizing that now.

This just in, Carl Pavano is still not a good pitcher.

While I loved Scotty Pods when he was playing here, I acknowledge that he was never really an ideal option. I’d still prefer BA to start every day, but I think I’m okay with this.
